Super Rugby 2012: Predictions

Fair enough. Like I said we don't have much else going for us so I thought I'draise the point.

Yeah, there really isn't much to discuss at this stage. Gonna be much better in a few months when I can watch the mighty Highlanders beat the Stormers :p

With the way either team's off-season has gone (signing/losing players and coaching staff) that is very much on the cards. Sadly (for me).

Also we have 3 very big injury concerns looming still in Duane Vermeulen, Andries Bekker and Rynhardt Elstadt. Very definately effects our 'grunt' upfront. Also Duvenhage is apparently not 100% and grant will only be available later on. A very looong for the Stormers awaits IMO.

Don't be so overly pessimistic meneer,

Quoted from www.keo.co.za

"On the injury front, Duane Vermeulen and Andries Bekker will only be considered for the Stormers' final warm-up fixture against the Eastern Province Kings. Lock Hilton Lobbers is also yet to join the squad for training and will only be available four matches into the Super Rugby competition.""The good news for the Stormers is that Rynhardt Elstadt, their forward enforcer, will be back for the warm-up match against the Cheetahs."

Stormers will still kick ass in 2012, just watch this space

Hurricanes!!!

oh I though you meant who is gonna come in last...

Hurricane till I die though....

Juan Smith will miss the Cheetahs' training camp in Jeffrey's Bay due to his ongoing battle with an Achilles injury.
The Springboks flank missed the World Cup last year because of the ailment but was expected to be ready for the start of the Super Rugby tournament. Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske had said that while Smith wouldn't be risked in pre-season matches against the Kings, Stormers and Lions, he would accompany the squad to the camp at Jeffrey's Bay and in all likelihood feature in the opening Super Rugby round.
But news from Bloemfontein is that Smith experienced so much discomfort following a training session that he will not travel to Jeffrey's Bay at all. Die Volskblad reports that Smith will see a specialist to assess the injury and from there the Cheetahs medical team will decide whether Smith will be ready for the Round 1 clash against the Lions.
