Suggestions/ideas for Rugby 2012

point taken...how about camera on the subs like after a try scored or something like that anyway...give some of your ideas

Like many people have said here, get a close look at Madden 11 for ideas, I dont like American Football but i like playing Madden for its freedom of choices
it has brilliant graphics which u need because its a game that many people are desperate for no one wwants a ps3/x-box 360 game with basic graphics and with the tackling animation needs to be better than the EA sports games because come on they obviously didnt put much effort into the project. The game would be good with a career mode where you could make your own charachter and progress his stats and start at a basic club then work your way up to international legend, but with more choice in what you look like and what position u play and tactic u usually use. The game would also be good with a team crwator similair to the madden one where you can choose your club emblem, team colours, home stadium, leauge you play in , kit editor, and make ur own stadium and wide choices for the team emblem cause the madden one pretty basic.Create leagues and all that and a dynamic soundtrack a good song would be Nelly-Here comes the boom or Black eyed peas-pump it. i hope that i have helped

it has probably been said a dozen times or more but the next rugby game has to have 'create a legend' like Pro Evolution Soccer and I think Fifa also had it. I'd love to create my own openside and run him around the field.

options in rugby 2012 become a legend, same the game pro evolution soccer 2011? sorry for my english, but i'm italian.. and two times pass button, play x from the players, three times pass button R from the players

what about a version of ultimate team but for rugby? similar to fifa style but with rugby... eg buy packs and updated players as to who is performing well at the current time

I think there should be a mode like become a legend or something so like you are controlling only one player and try to become the best player in the world

Also I think they should include goose step as well a side steps

Make sure they have some big hits and dump tackles for certain players characteristics.
Maybe an ultimate team
More freedom in the lineout
More realistic running lines and angles
Varied rucking and mauling
Players to have proper characteristics, e.g. a hard tackler, a good scrummager or a slippery scrum half

yehh ultimate team for rugby :) id lovee it ii really like ultimate team on fifa but on rugby would be wicked! also, include TMO, show referee and assissant referees, fight button maybe. try and think of more and post them

ONLINE WORLD CUP

everyone in the world competes against each other just like the fifa interactive world cup, friends leagues and international competitions wer the 100 best from each country go to play against each other in a knockout.

who knows maybe something along these lines could be sorted

Everything is secondary to the quality of the gameplay - if it's not realistically paced and player movement is impractical, the game will be a let down. I'd rather HB focus all of their resources on producing an accurate simulation of every aspect of the sport that can plausibly be recreated, than expend any effort on Nike ticks and Career Modes - both of which would soon be overlooked if the players moved around like Jonny 5.

If I was given the opportunity to request anything from HB, I'd ask them to get the pace of the game, the flow, contact and player movement nailed down.

If it's anything like an arcade game, where players appear to be skating at times, I'll take the game back and punch the spotty kid behind the counter straight in the kisser. Know this HB Studios, the state of a young shop assistant's face, lies in your hands.

Seconded. Take Rugby (2001)- shocking graphics but the pace of it, due the freedom of player positioning, seems the closest.

The chaos/challenge/ english realism of discovering a prop standing at 10, a running angle that stops opposing players in their tracks, the thrill of the 10m (!) flying ankle tap as you break through and a hand off that screams 'SIT DOWN'. I think i might have delayed withdrawal symptoms......

Controlling runs off the ball in open play would be good(possibly with the right analouge) i.e the ability to do a switch or to call an inside run outside of a set play!

Unlike rugby 08 how bout licsense for the magners league...and also top 14 from france.. and also make it all intergrated like fifa 11 where the league includes edf cup, heiniken and also domestic championship. Would love to see the world league stay, and the inclusion on maybe a international season that leads to the world cup.

Possibly a Career or "Superstar" modes, such as in the more recent FIFA and Madden ***les.

Just a few suggestions i have:

-Referee mode.
-Video Ref for those uncertain tries.
-More offload options - for example when player gets half tackled, there should be 2 - 3 players running off him, with you deciding who to offload to. (For example on PS3, press square, triangle and cross for the offload to different runners).
-Superstar mode - Create a player, choose your position/s, do tests, play trials with other rookies and get signed with a team and build your career form there.
-Coach mode - be the coach with your own set-plays, defensive structures etc.
-Referee shown on the field, and also licensed referees with own characteristics. Example if Steve Welsh is your ref, he would let advantage play longer and allow a more open game, but if Jonathan Kaplan is your ref you have more strict rules.
-Chip Kicks which may bounce in your or opponent's favor.
-Grubbers that work - not get tackled halfway through and knock the ball on.
-Easier to take interceptions - but only with key players that are known for interceptions like Jean de Villiers or Bryan Habana etc.
-If your get close to try line, have the option to stretch for the line - but running the risk to knock the ball.
-More try scoring moves.
-More line-out options - maybe 5 or 3 man line-outs with the looseforwards running off the flyhalf.
-Different defensive options (Rush, Straight Line etc.).
-Maybe a mini-game which include Sevens ??

That is all from my side - I'm not gonna mention to update statistics, better graphics or updated rosters - this is obviously something that comes with a new game.
Thank you for reading this and I am looking forward to an epic rugby game !!
