What a big game this is going to be!
The Stormers can end up in 3rd place on the log if Lions can some how beat the Waratahs  .If the Lions can't pull if off and the Stormers can still win even by not scoring a bonus point try they can still end up in 5th place.

I heard that it might rain in Cape Town and if so, I just hope Rassie has got a game plan ready for the wet conditions,I personally don't want to see another dreadfull game by the Stormers in wet conditions :D .

I think this game is going to be very close, maybe even a draw, but Stormers to win by no more than 3 points. :)

Half time Stormers leading 10 - 0 :) .Just a shame that Chavanga is off but the Stormers are looking good!

Go STORMERS!!!

Stormers 20 Hurricanes 12

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

20 - 12Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

What a defence near the end, bloody brilliant.

I hope Shavanga isn't too seriously injured, I think we missed him on the wing at stages, not that Luke Watson would have you believe it though :D

Made my predictions in a excel document... and here is the top 4 for playoffs:

1: Crusaders
2: Stormers
3: Sharks
4: Hurricanes/Chiefs

That means we'll have a Stormers > Sharks semi :)
And what if the crusaders loose in their semi.... o... o!
Final @ newlands.

Stormers can and must win their last matches with bonus points.
Highlanders will be easy 5... Same for the lions...
Just the Waratahs & Brumbies that will be tough.

Saying the Highlanders will be an easy 5 would be premature and underestimating your opponents, I think they will be much tougher next week then they were against the Bulls, they were probably not even expecting the Bulls to play as well as they did today.

same about the Lions, a local derby allways ends up much thighter even if they're playing badly.

Yep local derby is always close... but after I watched the lions game today I cant see how we can loose against them. They are by far the worst team this year. Hope the cheatahs & bulls can help the sharks+stormers out with the remaining games.

Fantastico, yet again Watson turns in a tremendous all round performance. We let a big lead slip slightly again but before the game i was worried now that we've won we are in the driving seat for a semi spot. Who would have thought that after 3 games.

Great D from the sharks! Hurricanes were on their line numerous times but got nothing more often than none

Hehehe, nice to see you were paying attention :)

Sharks dissapointed me -again- this weekend, every week there's talk of them actually starting to play some rugby the next week and every week it doesn't happen, untill yesterday where they finally lost a game. Maybe this will wake them up and get their asses in gear.

That's what I'm hoping as well, gat in rat. Although we played well in broken play, the finishing was lacking again. It's hard to say the Brumbies deserved the win, but I we won (and drew :p) games we didn't deserved to, so karma is still alive and kicking.

PLUS the S14 has been blown wide open as many more teams have a shot at making the play offs now.

Will be fascintating to see who can get the second home semi, i reckon its still between 5 teams.

The 2nd half of the season is looking to be quite a cracker of a finish.
So many teams building momentum and gaining form and others dipping in both after starting with a bang.
I agree, 5 teams realistically have a shot at a home semi now, this passed weekends results really threw a spanner in the works!

One thing that I'm hoping for is that the Sharks still have to peak, surely?

In all truth this must be the tightest Super14/Super12 in the last 4 years or so, if not more.

Everyone from the Force in position 9 and up still has a chance for semi spots if the permutations allow if you know what I mean. It's quite extraordinary. I think we're in for some really tense last few weeks of Super rugby.

Pos Team P W D L Pts
1 Crusaders 9 8 0 1 38
2 The Sharks 9 7 1 1 32
3 Waratahs 9 7 0 2 31
4 Vodacom Stormers 9 5 0 4 27
5 Chiefs 9 6 0 3 27
6 Hurricanes 9 5 1 3 26
7 Blues 9 5 0 4 25
8 Brumbies 9 5 0 4 24
9 Western Force 10 5 0 5 24
10 Reds 9 3 1 5 16
11 Vodacom Bulls 10 3 0 7 15
12 Highlanders 9 1 0 8 11
13 Vodacom Cheetahs 9 1 0 8 11
14 Auto & General Lions 9 1 1 7 7

Yeah, from 2nd place to 9th place there's only 8 points in it, with 4 games left.

For the Sharks 2 games away (Crusaders and Waratahs) and 2 games at home (Cheetahs and Chiefs)
3 toughies still to come

Yeah, how they managed to get in #2 place is quite a mystery , really, seeing how they've been lacking structure in the backline and in conducting the games as well. Their pack won them the games (almost) so far.

The thing is if Michalak is the playmaker the backline has to adapt to him, or the coach must set some patterns in the team. Having a settled backline would be a good start.

Steve-o, who would you pick at 12 ? I think I'd go for Michalak 10 Steyn 12 Murray 13 maybe...

Yeah our forwards have been our strong point this season, our rolling mauls have been fantastic. We dominated the Brumbies at the scrum last night but I guess that's not hard to do.

I personally see Steyn as a 13 or a 15. He's a natural runner of the ball, but doesn't have the distribution skills required for a 10 or a 12. He needs his space to use his creativity.
Michalak is proving to be very handy 10, and believe he should be the first choice 10 for the rest of the season. His defence has been impressive and his work rate is superb, he just doesn't stop working
