Spring Tour: South Africa - England - 1st Test (09/06/2012, 16:00 GMT)

The 'Boks are paying for not picking Brussow at the breakdown. I still can't believe he wasn't selected in the squad.

Youngs just put that ball right through to the other side of the scrum - what was Hartley doing?

Probably shocked as **** it didn't go straight to the second row as usual these days

Our pack is a bit better than I thought it looks

Good performance in the main from England against the poorest SH display on today's performances.

Back row have been superb, Brown safe enough, front five (including old mohican) more than satisfactory. Few too many missed tackles from Botha?

I would change the half backs now though and maybe bring on Josephs after about 60 minutes unless things change dramatically.

At least Marler is holding his own in the scrum. I have to admit that was one of my major worries!

Gee Meyer, your gameplan is working excellently!

We're doing absolutely nothing for 40 minutes, but atleast we're doing nothing well!

6-6 half time, happy enough with that.

he missed!? awesome. I went to the toilet in expectation of a guaranteed 3 points!

Tony, yes about Botha. He may not be the biggest second row but he still needs to make tackles. On the other hand I really underestimated how valuable he is at the breakdown. Team effort there though, and it's going well so far.

Scrum seems to be a stalemate, but there's plenty of pressure coming through from the South Africans.

Have Youngs and Farrell been watching Preistland? Both kicking too much and kicking badly.

Morne has ben missing a few kicks this year that were usually guarentees for him, he was particualrly off key in the early season for the Bulls.

They don't need f...king lessons from Priestland.......he probably took the lessons from them!

Think this is the first time for both in SA, you can see the breeze going when they kick and I'm not too surprised they're frequently overcooking it. As for too much, everyone knew this was going to be a kicking-fest. I'm happy-ish with how they're going in this respect at least.

Surely Tuilagi used his forearm as a weapon?

Back to my favourite topic.......Barnes just said Youngs was a threat and just seen two hospital passes from him resulting in turnovers? Good old Barnsie!!

How did Habana get back on?

JdV just did a try saver on Hougaard
He went to pick it up and dot it down adn JdV went in to clear out the ruck and smashed him

Boks try :( Was coming, though, big pressure on our line yet again.

What was Botha doing.......looked a bit like Canute looking at the waves!!
