Sonny Bill Williams News + Progress in ITM Cup

Let's not let this become a NH-SH cock-swinging contest now Chris ;) (To quote a certain Northamptonian)

Bring it!

I'll hazard a guess that it's the one dropping c bombs

Don't try that crap with me boy. Some of the **** you've spouted on this board in the past 3 months has got up more then a few members noses.

only if NH posters with chips on their shoulder post more. Otherwise we could discuss the merits of is play and how good hes getting after a couple games of real rugby

Woodward are you a 12-16 year old boy with SBW posters plastered all over your bedroom? Because thats the only possible reason i can find for you being so ridiculously defensive of him.

I will direct you to ginergenius's post which sums the situation up nicely IMO, and you tell me what part you disagree with

in fairness, those highlights make sonny bill look pretty ******* awesome. offloading and rugby brain looks world class. Don't know what else he did in the game though, but add that to the try saver on Masaga and he's had a fair few key moments fora just 2 appearances.

Having said that, considering that Nonu and Smith are, at the moment, so far ahead of anyone else in the world in the centres, plus the likes of Stanley, Ranger, and Toeava are all capped ABs, plus the fact that Fruean looks absolutely amazing, SBW's gonna have to be ****-hot in the Super 15 just to get involved with the ABs next summer.

It wasn't written by a NZer, the only people who *really* know rugby in the world.
:rolleyes::lol:

Bottom line guy's is Sonny's playing well surely we can all agree on that part. Sonny's come back home to play for his country his biggest critics I thought would be from NZ (after all that's who he really has to impress his fellow countrymen) but on our forum most of his critics are from outside NZ. He's playing well, that's all that really matters.

I think he is allowed his critics outside of NZ as that's where he's played for the last 2 years, and so NH should be able to judge his game more aptly than NZers for now. I personally haven't seen that much of him, but what I have has impressed me. I guess I'm in the NH minority.

Our forum is world wide an our fellow members from anywhere has the right to criticise, absolutely no arguement there. What Im trying to say is that for Sonny, what is important for him, is too please the kiwi public by playing well and that's what is important so even if he never plays for the All Blacks he wasnt a total flop, and that's what he's doing. Its the kiwi public and the respect of his team mates that truely matter not critics from afar.

Pah, let's see him in the international or Super 15 stage first. Top 14>ITM Cup.

We'll so far so good he's doing well in the ITM cup and he's pleasing those that matter. ITM cup is no easy comp its where a lot of good players come from and he's doing well. Just curious Feicarr is that part Ive made in bold up above is that to say Top 14 is better than the ITM cup?...or is it just the Top 14 to the ITM cup?

I'd say he'd be a certain candidate at 12 in a lot of countries, but to make it to the All Blacks i feel he has to show a lot more to pass the guys in front of him

Argueable.

I'm presuming he's saying the Top 14 is a harder stage to perform on than the ITM cup, which is true
