[Six Nations 2018] Round 2: England vs Wales (10/02/2018)

Nah it's been a nice break up of the regular for us Welsh to feel positive about the way things seem t be going. Someone had to fill the Scottish positivity vacuum around here for the last week.

Huh?
How would Anscomb's try have given Wales the win?
Subtract 3 and add 7, and Wales still lose.

It should have been given, but doesn't change the result, not even enough to say the match position would have changed etc etc.(IMO)

Lol good point... couple of beers as you can imagine

The performance. I thought England were disappointing, for all that pressure and little to no points. It didn't help that Garces let Wales do whatever they liked. Aled Davies' offside near the end being one of them.

Changes to be made. Playing a lock at 6 isn't working, Robshaw covering 8 was useless. I would like to see Hughes come in at 8.

I think England deserved that on the whole. Too many basic errors from Wales, whilst we lost the aerial battle convincingly.

Still it's very difficult not to be very angry about the disallowed Anscombe try. I thought it was very obviously a try, with clear grounding!

Still somewhat heartened the the way we battled back into the game, and managed to get a few line-breaks in the second half which probably should have lead to more.

Congrats Enland, shouldn't have an issue getting to the final game unbeaten now. So the slam is very much on!

Thats the point mate, we dominated more of the game than Wales and had little to no points to show for it.

Totally agreed on 6. Underhill/Robshaw should be at 6. A Curry at 7 maybe? Or Simmonds if Hughes goes 8. We were poor at the breakdown, and an extra lock doesn't matter. We gave to many penalties away :D

We still won. They won't be partying on the streets of Total Network Solutions tonight (old joke, still funny)

Is it yearly thing that wales fans forget that the game is played over 80 minutes and the team with the most points win. England played well enough over 80 minutes to win the game.

This is where I mention that we actually won our independence. #1776

Yeah, but but but. We only scored points in the first 20, and that means nothing :D :D

It's getting to the point where we can predict the reactions of certain Welsh fans (I love Wales btw, its beautiful). A parody so to speak :D

An okay game for 12-6. A bit disappointing for both sides that defences were on top in terms of their ambitions to be absolute world beaters. Really surprised by Anscombe at fullback as I'd not seen that from him really at Cardiff. Shingler also continues to exceed expectations.

If England slip up somewhere the bonus point situation looks like being decisive. I'm not convinced Wales are totally out of this if England have an off day, but with Henshaw's injury I think England can win it all without hitting top gear (again).

Score points in the first 20, well we couldn't score for the rest of the game so means nothing. Score in the last 20, just padding out the score after being dominated all game and means nothing. Absolutely dominate the game start to finish, corrupt officials. We have to face it, for every scenario in which England win, there is an excuse ready.

:D

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. We will never win

Oh, and if anyone has a screen grab of Sam Underhills face as he made that tackle? I want it as my screensaver :)
