[RWC2023] France vs Italy (06/10/2023)

Typical France game maybe a little too lose in defence. But they more than make up for it in attack.

This French team is young. A bunch of stars at 24 years old. Like the German Football team of 2010. It will be an interesting QF against a far more experienced team if it pans out that way.

Who they've beaten at home before.

It definitely look like the shoulder rides up and hits the head. I assume I'm getting the same pictures as you guys.
There was no "definitely" about it for me. The head could easily be going back from the force of a tackle to the chest. From another angle I wouldn't discount a bit of stubble being rubbed, or something worse. Its not like there was clearly no head contact.

I'm just pointing out this France team have beaten everyone at home including the experienced Ireland and SA. Nobody should be saying their inexperience is factor.

What is scary is where they could be in 4 years time.
Apologies I misread. What is scary, is that you arguably hit your peak at 28-32. This French team is on a massive upwards curve. They are going to be a force for a while I feel. Agree completely.

Penaud is one of these rare players who I liked before anyone else realised he was anything special and then have continued to like just as much even after everyone else has recognised his greatness. (I think it's because despite most people recognizing he is great he is still underrated.) Sure he is having more success now, but that's more about having more connectedness with players around him and being given more opportunities compared to say four years ago (when he was my favourite winger in the world).

Yeah but the west and tear of 400 league games in the next cycle.

Probably overshadowed by Dupont as well.

This French loose trio is also arguably the best in the world along with the Irish. Not many weaknesses in this team at the moment. All around the park.
