Samoa with the daft yellow and poor composure in the later parts of the game most costly. Probably missed Vui today. Neither side could really complain if the other had won. England subs really had an impact.

England to limp into quarters and set up a rematch with Fiji...probably scrape a win there too and somehow everyone will be convinced everything is fine before losing to France or South Africa in an embarrassing defeat.

1. I've promoted England constantly, and literally just congratulated them for deservedly winning the group.

2. He never wrapped, his arms were open and he threw them back on contact.

Credit to Samoa it was their best performance of the tournament. England were poor, week off and dicking about with line up plus is parachuting Farrell striaght back in after weeks without a game seems to have killed any momentum that was built.

Trying to be positive but the basics weren't there tonight. Still 4/4.

I'm pretty sure in almost the exact same position, especially with this team. Yeah we played well against Chile, but that was almost a different team by comparison.

However, the reffing against tier 2 nations has been nothing short of a disgrace!

Refs arent losing games for them, but they arent brave enough to make the match winning calls either.

2 mins left, Samoa down by 1, and Chessum is on the wrong side of the ruck, not rolling away after putting himself there, 30 yards from goal and nothing. If that was SA v England SA get that penalty 100% of the time.

That and the Samoa bench were simply not as good? I like the underdog story as much as the next guy but come on, starting to look like the dude from Goonies
