RWC Quarter Final: Springboks - Wallabies (09-10-2011, 18:00)

We didn't get any chances to attack. Defence won us the game tonight IMO.

Actually no. Refereeing decisions at crucial stages of the match won you the game tonight. If those decisions were made accurately, you would have lost. Your defence did not win you this game. Bryce Lawrence did. You can call it blinkers all you want, but go and read some of the posts by neutral supporters here, then you will see who is actually wearing them.

As yes, because all those missed knockons, and missed offside calls against Australia amounted to nothing, and none of them were in key moments of the match. Good one bro. Keep em coming.

No non no, I meant hands in the ruck 1 metre out from the tryline. But ok, I guess you are right. The referee played absolutely no part in your cheating escape. It was all guts and glory from brilliant Australian defence.

That happened once. And Burger lost control of it anyway (but yes, it still should have gone to SA). But get over it, SA had their hands in the ruck, were coming from the side and were off their feet when we were trying to get some attacking ball as well. SA lost, and only have themselves to blame.

Oh wait I forgot. They played perfectly and Peter De Villers is a master coach that couldn't put a foot wrong. By process of elimination the only person left to blame is the ref!

Whatever you say.

Where do you take the stats?

Espn says different, but I'm not saying that one are true, just want to check your other stats!

I think TNT may be Bryce Laurence himself. Sounds like he is trying to convince himself. TNT likes his stats so maybe he should have a look at all the stats in this match. There is no way Oz should have won with those stats. They were helped along nicely....

At the end of the day the BETTER team lost. South Africa outplayed Australia in almost every facet. In fact I will go as far as to say that SA played brilliantly and they can be proud of themselves.

Laurence kept Oz in the game by allowing Oz to steal the ball in the RED zone.
I don't blame Pocock he played to the ref and the ref was toatally sh**.

Ahhhh fine...you want to get into all this childish sarcastic **** about Lawrence being bought off. well if I would be wanting my money and wallabies jersey back based on the fact that he didn't even have the decency to award Australia more penalties than their opponents.

"but but but pocock is a ***** and had his hands in the ruck".

how about stop drawing out a couple of examples to try and justify this bs

should i play this game too?:
ioane being tackled late by morne - no penalty
SA players offside a mile trying to charge down our kick after duprees try attempt - no penalty
burger pulling pocock out of the ruck with a headlock from the australian side of the ruck - no penalty
SA players continually knocking it on - called dropping the "ball down" by the ref and play on
cooper throwing a pass backwards and because habanna tries to take an intercept the pass is called forwards
SA receiving a penalty for a maul in which they were gauging horwill's eyes

SA players offside a mile trying to charge down our kick after duprees try attempt - no penalty = Broken Play, there is no offside line!
burger pulling pocock out of the ruck with a headlock from the australian side of the ruck - no penalty = Arms wasn't around the neck, no problem
SA players continually knocking it on - called dropping the "ball down" by the ref and play on = the ball actually has to go forward directly from the hand to be judged knocked on
cooper throwing a pass backwards and because habanna tries to take an intercept the pass is called forwards = Habana's run had no influence on the pass and was justifiably called forward
SA receiving a penalty for a maul in which they were gauging horwill's eyes = really?

first learn the rules of rugby before saying crap like this... Lawrence had a bad game, and made bad calls both sides...

I think the IRB should look at how Referee's are examined and paid. They should get a basic fee for officiating a match and get paid extra after a been rated out of 10. This will encourage referee's to do a proper job.

If a referee has a record of low scores he must get the chop!

I won't be surprised if Laurence accepted some moola for match fixing. If Hansie Cronje can do it I would not put it past any ref nevermind Laurence! I would honestly request an investigation into match fixing if I had anything to do with it.

There were way too many obvious indiscretions allowed.

Go All Blacks or Wales, hope you go on to win the World Cup.
France & Oz don't deserve it.
