RWC Quarter Final: All Blacks - Argentina (09-10-2011, 20:30)

Roncero hasn't had the best of times in the scrum this game, but it is still a blow for the Pumas that he is off.

5 points in it, thats a successful half for Argentina. They need to come out firing!

All Blacks are playing well its just that the Pumas are defending well and came up with that big play, thats all.

its easy to defend well when Piri is giving the Argentiinians half an hour to organise thier D at every breakdown.

All Blacks are looking decidely average. their playing attitude reminds me a bit of '99. Not good.

Guys we are playing fine. Argentina got a well taken try against the run of play. If the boys show patience and calm then we will pull through - if we panic then we are out. Argentina are defending well but do not look particularly threatening. We still could lose but I have confidence that we can score early in this half and put this game to bed.

I think the All Blacks getting a real test and as long as they dont get too many injuries this will only make them better if they come through. If ABs continue what theyre doing they will prevail and win well

Argentina are playing very very well, they can win it no doubt. They need to get down in the All Black half and stay there, their kicks for touch have to find touch. They also need to really mix it up in attack.

Rubbish. The game is messier than regurgitated scrambled eggs. They're trying to do too many things at once when their primary motive should just be to play basic footy.

You can't expect us to run over the top of a team in a quarterfinal - the rugby always tightens up. So far we have played with cool heads and patience and that is what will get us through.

Well I dont think a wise professional like Piri would be doing that purposely. You may be right but there has to be a reason for that (eg. maybe the Backs or receivers arent ready yet?)

What was SBW doing for the Argentinian try?
Ridiculous, just stood there and let him through - coming from a league background he should be used to defending the try line from little dives like that

I thought you said you like SBW.

You don't have to run over your opposition. But you need to sort your basics out before anything else. They're trying to to score/trying find gaps with every pass at every phase. They need to settle down, get some decent go foward and then launch calculated attacking plays. Right now they're throwing the ball any which way and hoping they'll get through.

They need more crash ballers hitting the line around the rucks.

All I can say is; ted better give them a 4ucken rocket at halftime, because they are NOT playing well at all. No cohesion in the backline, and everything looks laboured.
They just don't have their heads in the game.
You would think they would be up for this, but they look disinterested

Totally agree. Where are the genii now who suggested that Williams was a winger because he apparently proved himself against Japan and Canada?

Yeah the All Blacks know what Rugby means to this country so they turn up disinterested and laboured.

I don't mind him - doesn't stop that being a terrible bit of defence!

Toeava on for Mils at halftime

To be honest, ever since I remember you saying you liked him, I cant remember a good comment from you about SBW.
