last pool game, hard to believe, it's gone so fast!

obvious 7+ for the AB's. Strange but the way I read the odds 7 and under pays less? Doesn't make sense to me...

Anyway Read back thank goodness, not a Thomson fan. Not unless he's playing 6 or for the highlanders. The all blacks really missed having a proper #8 against the french. Good Read will get a game before going into the knockout games.

Bad news is Kahui will be out minor hamstring issue. Shame because he's been a standout in every game so far but it wont do him harm to rest for a week. Kahui has had more than his fair share of injuries but from someone who's followed his carrier I can say that one quality trait of his is that even after long injury lay offs when he has made come backs he's always been on the money from his first game back, never needed a game or two to get on his feet.

Will be interesting to see what other changes are made, Henry said that the lineup bar Read/Thompson was his #1 team. Though I expect they will run the same again if any players do have any ****les/injuries they will likely be rested knowing that the quater final is likely against Argentina and from what I saw last night that game is as much a forgone conclusion as any. Both Argi and Scotland looked very average, and argi in particular picked up a lot of injuries...

all i'm going to say is eina.....eina...eina..... Canada....

Pretty much my sentiments. All I'm hoping for here is for Canada to stay within 50.

Ya I wouldn't want Canada to run up the score too much.

Oh wait...
You mean rugby not hockey.

The ABs would be merciful to keep it that low.

Im really looking into this now as I see they might rest Dagg because of his injury and give Mils the shot he deserves. Although they have said only Kahui was serious, Dagg looked pretty bad hobbling around the field. Maybe have Dagg on the bench and give Mils the start?....

I'm real pumped to see Read back, but unfortunately for me this means Thomson is going to be a certain player on the bench where he is going to push out quality players in Boric and Vito. Players I believe deserve to be there more than Thomson.

It will be interesting to see what sort of team the AB's select. I'm hoping that there aren't too many changes: Kaino may need a rest after three huge games in a row, so I wouldn't mind seeing Thomson start at 6, with Read given 50-60 mins at 8 (assuming he is fit). Brad Thorn may need a rest too, but he is the sort of player that thrives the more he plays, so I'd start him and bring Boric on after 40-50 mins.

Who starts in the backs will depend on the injuries. Unless Carter is injured I'd start him (alongside Weepu), with Nonu and Smith in the midfield again (though they may be tempted to give SBW a chance at 12). Assuming Jane is fit I'd start him and Toeava on the wings, though they may see this as a chance to give Guildford a start. If Dagg is fit I'd start him too - some people have suggested that Muliaina should start to get him up to 99 caps, but I don' think this is a good enough reason to bench Dagg, as Dagg needs as much rugby as possible.

New Zealand need to pick a nine for this game and stick with him through the tournament as it is such an important position and carter needs to feel as comfortable as possible for the big games to come.

im guessing that canada might actually might put up a decent fight here..but still lose by 30 points or somemthing though im sure they'll show more heart than france without the flair!! maybe a 50 point spread so...

Or because of the injury to Kahui, the backline will look something like this,

9. Weepu
10. Carter
11. Dagg
12. Nonu
13. Smith
14. Jane
!5. Muliaina

I think they will rest Dagg to make sure he is a hundred for the knock out stages, even on the bench with a twenty min run out.

I like the idea of Thompson at 6 and Reid at eight and rest kaino. If Thompson is going to ride the pine it would be good to give him one last hit out.

Jane and Guilford on the wings i would think.

I thin they will have a team much like the french did last week. Rest a few "names" but have them on the bench to have a fit out late in the game.

I'm also wondering what the Canadian lineup will be, Crowley has consistently picked our best side, and this may be the case if for some reason Canada is looking to pull off a miracle and get a bonus point or he just wants to give the Ab's the best challenge possible, but if we are secure in third place I could see some of the reserves getting game time, especially off the bench.

I have a feeling that Crowley plays our best team. Not so much to go for the win, which won't happen, but for pride. Crowley's home country, and the possibility of this being some Canadian players last world cup, makes me feel he'll dress his best team. I do think reserves come in really early though.

140-6....

the Boks, (out of all the teams) are the holders of the highest winning margin so far... but that was against Namibia... I think the AB can do much better playing their weakest team in their group...

If you honestly think the All Blacks can put up a 136 point margin, you're delusional. Canada's better than Tonga and Tonga was much more competitive than that. Realistically speaking, 56-10, or something in that neighbourhood.

Halve that and you'll be closer to the mark. I also expect Canada to score more than 6.

Also, NZ have had their chances; Tonga and Japan < Canada

Only thing counting against Canada here as against all the 'lower tier' nations is the short turn-around time. IRB should get this notion of 'lower tiers' out of their planning IMO.

I think Canada needs to field the best team they can that is under 30. The next 4 year cycle leading to 2015 begins tomorrow morning.

It seems as if a lot of people are underestimating Canada. They've proven they're the third best team in the pool and (should) have automatic qualification for the next RWC. Finishing in the top twelve isn't that bad for a tier two side.

Think a team like that should play the AB's?

I think the score will be decided primarily on whether the All Blacks play at full strength. If the backline is jumbled it could result in frustrating night like what we saw against Tonga.

1. Woodcock
2. Mealamu
3. O Franks
4. Whitelock
5. Thorn
6. Kaino
7. McCaw
8. Read
9. Weepu
10. Carter
11. Toeava
12. Nonu

15. Dagg

16. Hore
17. B Franks
18. A Williams
19. Vito
20. Ellis

It would be hard to see this side not putting up 70 points on Canada.
