- This is quite curious question for Russian rugby fans: how is it possible that rugby player with Russian background appeared in Argentina? Please, tell us how your family moved into South America.
- The father of my Grandfather came from Russia several years ago. I didnt get to know him unfortunately. I was told that he came escaping from all the problems they've got in those times, but the official reason i really dont know it. He wanted to go to United States but he took the wrong ship and ended up in south america. Then he moved to Cordoba and married a woman and started a family.
- Argentina amazed with rapid rugby development last few years. What do you think about huge interest in rugby for a football-orient country.
- Argentinian rugby has been growing since 1999, when we had a great world cup in Wales. From then to this times rugby in argentina grew up rapidly and started to gain lot of popularity among people. Then with the 3rd place obtained in France 2007 argentinian rugby has made a massive transformation, not only gained popularity but also we changed our style of playing, we became more agressive seeking to be main characters of international rugby. Nowadays rugby is being played all over the country. We can see very good rugby level in local tournaments.
- Argentina will take part in annual Four Nations Rugby Championship this year. Do you think that will force interest to rugby in your country?
- As i said before , rugby now is very popular. I think with the inclusion in Rugby championship it will definitely become even more popular than what it is today and that for sure will make us improve and once for all we'll become a serious threat for any opponent.
- Have you seen Russian National team games during Rugby World Cup 2011? What is your opinion?
- I've seen little, because with the hour difference with New Zeland the games were transmited at 3 or 4 am. But what i have seen , specially in the seven's circuit is that you need to gain more experience because you play really well but make foolish errors as the result of unexperience , and those errors in high level competition are lethal. Im sure you will improve fast cause Russia is a big country and those errors are very easy to correct. I think Russian rugby is in a good process, you have huge players, very powerful but still have to learn some skills. in 3-5 years Russian bears will become a huge threat for anyone.
- If there will be an opportunity to join Russian National team like Adam Burnes, who could play because of his Russian background, would you like take part?
- Hmm... that's a good question. Im 20 years old, and ive been part of Argentinas U20 Team several times. I played 2 Junior World cups (u20 JWC 2010 With only 18 years) and (u20 JWC 2011 In Italy with 19 years). I have good chances to become part of Jaguars team so entering russian team would mean the suspension of a very possible carreer with Argentina Pumas. But it would be a great experience though so as i said before it is a very good question jaja.
- If you would get an offer from Russian National team, your answer will be 'definitely yes', 'no' or it would be an controversial issue for you.
- It would be a controversial issue for me. Very hard decision as i said i have huge chances to play for argentina's squad. But i would like to play for russia too.. controversial issue definitely.
