Hi White Bear, I've seen photos of some of the rugby grounds in Russia and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised! They're pretty big and genuinely look like rugby stadiums. Do you have any photos of some of the stadiums in the Russian rugby leagues like VVA's stadium or Narvskaya Zastava's?

Also, if Europe does get it's act together and brings in Russian teams into an expanded 2nd tier European Cup, how will local teams and fans handle the sudden arrival of elite UK, Irish and French teams?

Hello, in fact, those pictures you have seen there is only half the stadium (Central Krasnoyarsk , Krasny Yar and Tulpar Kazan) , which are now playing rugby clubs . The rest we can only use in the event of international games. VVA is now building a new stadium, they are looking for additional funding.

The Narvskaya Zastava - it's a small club in D2 (they know as 1 club of Victor Gresev), but of course we'd all like to see in St. Petersburg was a great prof club - I proposed the establishment of the Rugby Club Zenit in the structure of FC Zenit and with the support of Gazprom. FC is now building a stadium for 69,000 seats , and the old Petrovsky Stadium (21500) can be used for rugby.

But while this is only an idea . As for interest, then we must understand that international matches club teams will have a substantial interest in comparison with the championship of Russia. Speaking of Krasnoyarsk , the domestic game 3-5 thousand people gather , and when there is international matches played the Russian national team , then at Central was 10-20 thousand.
