I was suggesting that rugby 2004 was so poor that it could have been mistaken for a demo version for the upcoming rugby 2005.............

Thanks for killing the joke for everyone else wally.

A lame joke, sure, but a joke nonetheless.

i palyed rugby 2004 there at the weekend. I usally do this when i'm awaiting a sequel or new edition of a game. I've done this in the past with smackdown, pes, madden and nba live.

Probably the only enjoyment to be had is assembling your fav team in career mode. Picking up O'Connell, D'Arcy. O'Callaghan and others is quite neat as they are very cheap in this game.

Who said I was joking???..........

Anyway we shouldn't have to wait much longer. I have reason to believe that we will have some information quite early on in January.

It looks like it is going to be good umosay. Maybe you should link the forums to this thread? Instead of just the whole forum. Is the picture in your main banner from anything?

The pic is from virtual NPC, so its just from the web. (did you spot tana?) I suppose i should link to this thread or the rugby2005 forum when it is made but i kinda want people to join the forum aswell not just for the game.

who knows when news will come this is ea after all but hopefully in the new year some info will come out. Itseems ea a taking rugby bit more seriiously now by investing more money and resources into it which will hopefully mean a better game. It would be mad if it had online play and i guess it is a possibilty but we will have to wait when ea release inf about the game

I thought as much. It's just people might not be able to find where all the talk about Rugby 2005 is if they're new to the forum. They'll probably sign up to post in the thread anyway.

meh, design looks stuffed up in IE, might have to put a new design on... it looks fine in the browser i use (opera)

I think that EA advertised to much for rugby 2004 and this is why it was such a letdown.

maybe they dont wanna make the same mistake this time.

It wasn't just the advertising that made it a let down...... But your right, saying the game was going to be "MADDEN proportions" certainly didn't help their cause.

They won't stop advertising. They want it to sell, and it will never mind if it is good or not.

Ok fellas,

Some info will be coming my way very soon, and you know that as soon as I get it, you'll have it too!

I can say this though, if anyone is looking forward to RUGBY 2005 being online, you're going to be disappointed.....

As for the Xbox version tho...... time will tell!

well who with the usaul delay ea have in game maybe online play could be implemented but if no online play then hopefully there is a decent career mode.
