Certainly not holding back with that team!

Certainly not; compared with the compromizes in the Crusaders team. I didn't know the Davies kid had a kicking game to go along with his exceptional pace? Or are they looking to run everything back? Not unlikely considering ti's the Reds. Peter Hynes? what happened to Daniel Braid? I felt he was your stand-out forward last year. By a mile.

Exactly. Graham Henry was so impressed that he had him sign an NZRU contract to play for the Blues. Hes the starting Blues 7 this year and the first in line for Richies backup

Davies was the 1st XV's Fullback for three years at Ipswich Grammar School, he has an excellent kicking game, and in his own words from my last conversation with him "I would love to play fullback for the Reds, but they see me primarily as a winger so I don't have many opportunities to prove myself as a fullback."
Lei Tomiki is still not 100% and I estimate will only get about 20 mins in this trial, Peter Hynes's knee is buggered and they want to save him for the Super 15.

Donder, the reds have some dangerous runners. Here's hoping it rains when the Reds come to Cape Town.

Kimami Sitauti is an amazing winger as well, I look forward to seeing if he can bring the kind of runs he made for Nudgee to the top level.

Wow, great signing for the Blues. Always thuoght that Kaino had it all to do himself in the backrow. Well, I get why the Blues fans I've been hearing are talking up their chances for this year. If Williams can find some of his form of old along with the signing of Braid it might go a long way toward solving the inconsistancies the Blues have had the last couple of years.

A lot will also depend on if Brett can find some consistency and get that deadly backline firing.

As for the Reds vs Crusaders. I would be worried for the Reds if they lost to a decidedly 2nd choice Crusaders team with most of the key men lined up for teh Reds. Reds by 12.

Did he play 7s for Aus?...if so I seen him and he's quite a strong runner. Hopefully we get to see more of an injury free Rod Davies.
