RBS 6 Nations - England vs Wales - 25/02/2012, 16:00

Well Wales won. Try reading the comments above before you post. And try some decent sarcasm. Just because you won doesn't change the fact that Welsh pundits were arrogant before the game had started. Arrogance is arrogance, and should not be in sport, neither should professional fouls.
Try sucking my dick?

I don't understand the logic in this. Yes it was not a try as it was indecisive, but why did he not go back for the penalty advantage? I'm really disappointed with that cause I'm sure England could of bagged a try. As for the rest of the decisions, I just feel it is so cheap that people give away professionally decisions. Rhys Priestland should get red carded for that in my opinion, it just is against all the morals in sport for one, and secondly what are kids going to think watching that? If he had not tackled Corbisiero off the ball England probably would have scored. But enough lamenting.

England can be really proud with this performance and move into the France game with a real confidence. The new starters, and particularly Farrell, played extremely well. The team seemed to show that it was proud to be wearing the jersey, unlike recent years. I think we have finally got our centres sorted out with Barrit - Tuilangi. As for the subs, why oh why bring Ben Youngs on. When he came on it seemed that all of England's attacking flair just died away, or left the field with Dickson. He is playing so poorly at the moment its hard to watch! First touch of the ball he passes it to Flood's feet. As for Flood, well I didn't think he played at his best, and I'm sure Farrell will start next game as well. Morgan again proved to be a strong ball carrier. All in all I think England have a real chance of pushing on from here and winning against Ireland at home at least if not France (depending on what team shows up and how they play tommorow!).

Lancaster should stay coach in my opinion. I don't think it will do the players any good having a change in coach, and quite frankly Lancaster has done a good job. He brought in many new players as many people hoped he would, and then made vital changes that were needed that might not have happened with previous coaches. He also really seems to have a good connection with the team, and they actually look like a team, where as last years England looked like a bunch of players playing for money. I think Lancaster has brought this philosophy in and I'm rooting him to stay until after RWC2015!

Utter nonsense.

Yes it was offside and deserved a yellow but Corbisero knocked on the ball a split second before being hit.

I'm with you on the advantage, when people in the pub started celebrating I couldn't believe it because I was sure it was going back. I didn't even understand how Priestland's was a binning, let alone a red..

I have never before seen a player sin binned for being offside. Bit of a joke if you ask me

Funny.

Care to explain?
Any advantage had been played. England took it but failed to score. Shall advantage continue till you score?

Priestland red card! If he was onside he would have collected the knock on. (unless I am talking about a different tackle)

He knocked it on because he was tackled by Priestland who was offside (at least I think, was at the other end of the pitch so couldn't see). Didn't realise the advantage had been played considering don't think he said advantage over. And I'm not just talking about that, I'm talking about doing deliberate penalties during try scoring opportunities and then getting away with it.

If he was binned then he didnt get away with it

But he was not guaranteed to score a try ...

As I said I'm not just specifically talking about that. There were plenty of other incidents where it happened in the game, and other games it happens all the time with all teams, and I think its just unacceptable.

And no he was not guarenteed to score a try but considering Wales were on the back foot and England had numbers on the left I would of put money on them scoring.

If it wasn't on the 5m then it would have just been a penalty. Still rather harsh I think. That being said, we played better in those 10 minutes and it gave us a needed kick.
I am just surprised Charlie Hodgson dyed his hair and grew a few inches so quickly!

Walsh had given Warburton a final warning before for offsides, and ruck infringements.
Priestland made the tackle on Corbisiero from an offside position, so a penalty (and a card, based on his warning more than anything else) was the right course. Presumably Walsh didn't/couldn't see the knockon.

Anyone, can we stop talking about ridiculous things like the "score" and who "won", and concentrate on how Tuilagi mashed up everyone in front of him.

Indeed, seems England have finally solved their centre problem.

Ok thats fair enough, I expect to see the same tomorrow then, and next week, and the week after etc etc.

Tuilagi was good, like Roberts made ground on pretty much every run. Dangerous player, on that form he'd walk onto the Samoa team easy (couldn't resist that one)
