A referee practicing his signals before a game? :O What has the world come to?

Nice fist post anyway. Good to see Irishmen now have some competition on this website for the ***le of "smartest rugby nation on TRF".

Would you not agree that it would be more appropriate for a referee to practice the signals for playing advantage? At least if he did this, the possibility may exist that he was at least open to the concept of running rugby.

And

And meet/greet 2 dozen dignitaries a time.

Are you implying that the fourth cousin of the president's husband twice removed doesn't deserve to meet the players? If so, we may have a bit of a problem here.

It's the tradition. No one is forcing you to watch that. Go make a coffee or something until the game starts. I dislike the English analysis of every single pass at half time but I just don't watch it

It's bloody irritating is what it is.

- K.O. set for 3pm.
- You arrive at the stadium.
- You have a beer.
- You find your seat.
- It's 2:55pm
- The atmosphere rises.
- The teams run out.
- 10 Minutes of anthems play.
- It's 3:05pm
- "yay it's game time"
- Some ****-wit politician appears on the pitch
- 10 more minutes pass.
- "must be game time now"
- The marching band does a lap of honour.
- It's 3:20pm
- Finally kickoff.

So in which part of that are you not being forced to watch the OTT ceremony?

or you could get ****** in the aviva bar wait till you see the ball being kicked of on the little tellys then go to your seat.

Will there be any physical differences between a prop and a scrum half? eg prop a fatty and scrum half short and skinny or stocky

would i be able to create a player and play with it?

Hi AJ.

One last question. Is there going to be the national anthems for some of the teams?

Cheers

Are there new tackle mechanics and animations?

are you sick of the same questions? which would be your most annoying?
will allblacks be ranked no one in your game? i mean... new zealand?

LOL, lets see you try to dig your way out of this one.

Would you not agree that it would be more appropriate for a referee to practice the signals for playing advantage?

No, because that is the easiest signal out of all of them. Why would the ref practice sticking his arm out at 90 degrees? There are over 30 signals to remember, why do you have a problem with the referee going over his signals before a game? Do you think it is some sort of conspiracy? Please enlighten us.

Signals are purely for the crowds benefit. Getting annoyed about a ref practicing his signals is just laughable, but not something i would put past ignorant spectators/parents/players.

At least if he did this, the possibility may exist that he was at least open to the concept of running rugby.

What part of: "signals are purely for the crowd's benefit" confuses you? How is the ref "closed minded" to the concept of running rugby if he chooses to review his signals before a game?

Any further details regarding the Online Gameplay? Will there be online Tournaments or will it only be single International matches?

Are the rules going to be fixed? For example, in 08 if you have a penalty advantage and the ball goes out, you just have a lineout. If you have advantage and you miss a drop, 22m drop out. And if you have advantage and the opposing player makes the mark, you play from there.

Is there goiing to be more variety in player attributes? For example, it ****** me off how the kicking stat applies for punting, drop goals and up-and-unders. All of these should be different categories. Also, injury and penatly proneness should be there as well as cleverness or decision-making (Which Brett would have to get 0 for:D).

Please make utility back a position!!!!! It is so annoying that in 08 there is a maximum of three, so you have to sacrafice one for guys like Beale, O'Connor, Viljoen, Steyn, Toeava, Ashley-Cooper etc who can play every position in the back-line. Either do that or raise the limit to like 5 or 6.

Please increase drop kick range to at least 50m for guys like Steyn, McAlister and Viljoen.

Is it possible to do those low kicks for territory?
