Premiership Rugby 18/19 - Rd 11

Massive win for Sale,

This season is nuts, after their early storming-ahead Sarries and Exeter have slowed a bit and now every side is capable of beating any other.

Shields really isn't that good, is he?

T.Curry was on another level today,
Hopefully Santa brings me my Christmas wish of an Underhill/Curry backrow for the Six Nations

It's like you're inside my head

Edit: Daly has definitely been showing flaws the last couple of games I've watched Wasps too, a succession of bad or stupid decisions

Daly is like the old May "rabbit in the headlights" decision making. Real shame because when he is being sensible he is very good. It's like he's become less of a team player and suffering from the old English fault of believing their own hype.

It's not just Daly. There are quality players like Daly all seemingly trying to force things too hard each by themselves. They just don't look like a team that knows how to play together, and the frustration is really starting to show.
I know the injuries and constant combination swapping will be part of the problem, but surely the coaching and tactics are also part of issue.

defense is clearly a problem, I think coaching has little to do with how blunt the attack is, you can't coach players not to knock the ball on every two seconds, that's maybe a confidence thing, injury and confidence is the real problem, because things are not going right you have the likes of Daly making silly descisions, Lima is an excellent player just struggling in a team that is currently not functioning, just need a couple of results (today's could have gone in our favour) under our belt and a few men back and I think we will be ok.

Has Faf de Klerk invented a new tackle sytle, tackling head on head, sounds painfull but mighty effective if it's completely legal and wiping the player out doesn't result in stoppage until post try.

So what's everyones take on Wards spit seems very obvious.
A few weeks on the naughty step probably.

I think I'm fairness to Lima Sopoaga he didn't have many options running off him much of the time. The game plan seems to be get the ball to the wings and it's not really working a lot of the time.

Nobody in the stadium had any idea what was going on... We all thought that it was a Wasps player going off for headbutting ward in the stomach.

Ward actually got taken off the ball by the Wasps second rows constantly and one of them should probably have been yellowed fairly early on for it tbh

When you see highlights at previous ruck ward choke holds young they then mess around with each other.
Next one ward walks over youngs ankle when on floor at same time gobing either on him or right at him.
Youngs then charges into him.

Think he'll get banned? I'm honestly not sure what the laws or the precedent are on spitting. Is it a red card? I'm also not sure how I feel. Instinctively, disgusting and needs punishing, but at the same time is it on a par with a punch or a shoulder to the head?

+ Shields for Haskell.

When you think of the £££££
Aye, I'm not fan of Haskell but seems silly binning him for an overpaid merc, at this point.

Both academy lads who offered to take a pay cut to stay at their boyhood club, both released for big name players failing to deliver.

Live and learn!

Stade Francais scrumhalf got banned for spitting at Strings a few years back, I'll try find the ban length

Edit:
14 weeks! Reduced from 6 months!
