Portugal ask for an EU Bailout

Buy gold and silver! The prices of those are rising as all the currency is being devalued.

Posting a photo of Thatcher and calling me a right-wing Facist is hardly stimulating debate.

The problems in the UK boil down to the fuckups the last lot caused by their own wrecklessness. Germany pre-prepared and were not as well off during the boom. Now however they've well and truly got the last laugh as they could hold the whole of Europe over a barrel if they wanted.

Germany makes things, that they can sell for a good price because they're good. They haven't closed all their factories...

England has been completely de-industrialised and has to rely on the financial sector. England has nothing to sell to the other countries, except some dodgy financial products...

True, but England has been completely de-industrialised SINCE 1997

That is the point I made earlier.

I honestly can't tell if that's ironic sarcasm or blind stupidity...

Silver has doubled in a year so I'm making a nice profit and I won't be selling anytime soon. Gold has also gone up and continues to do so.

Making it a good time to buy instead of sell... Why exactly?

We should all invest in things that will be of use when the **** hits the fan eg. Rifles , non perishable food , walky talkies ....All of these are of massive importance for the following

-collapse of monetary system
-Invasion of aliens
-Zombie apocalypse
-Rebbeca black world tour

Lads excuse me if these have been said but what exactly is economy like in UK. Is there jobs there etc. I've 2 mates going to Birmingham or Coventry or around Mid Lands there looking for work. Is there even jobs there or is unemployment rate high there too. And if it high is that because of people can't find work or just won't work

It kinda depends what work their looking for/ able to do, there are positions in specialized areas that there are jobs available

Well one just works as trainee accountant/ accounts assistant and other has degree in some office administration but they are hoping to get work there handy enough. They won't go to Oz as it's too far and wanted to go to states but can't get visa.

I've mates that went to Oz and they're all in handy jobs with excellent pay in Perth. Seems you'll pick a job up in minutes

Accountants and Clerks....

Let's put it this way: A Tescos opened up near where I lived the other day. Apparently they had well in excess of 1000 applications for 48 positions. For a crappy Tesco job.

Worth thinking about.

I imagine the accountant one should be able to get a post at a large accounting firm, as a 'trainee' (the correct word/phrase escapes) of course
The other I don't know, a degree in office admin? Sounds like another one of those ***les somone goes to uni for just to say "Look, you can hire me I've got a university degree"- But sure enough some companies do hire on the basis of degrees

Yup, even McDonalds can afford to be picky with who they hire these days

Cool was just wondering because they're hopeful of picking up something but didn't think it was that bad over there too. And yea that degree is just a "Look I went to college" thing like not really specialised area.
But itd be good be so they'll be home in a month or so ha ha

Gorey Cinema had over 1000 applications for 12 jobs I believe , with people applying with architectural degrees and all sorts of wonderful qualifications....most of those hired were transition year students working at well below minimum wage :/ 18 percent unemployment at the moment over here

I know sure I here in Ireland 7 but was wondering is UK as bad. Sure it was on paper few months back 900 applied to new McDonalds and alot were accountants, solicitors and some doctors even.
It nearly a bad thing having education at moment because it uneducated cheap labour that is in demand now

My French grandad maintains that the best way to settle unemployment is with " a good war"
