NSW Waratahs vs. British and Irish Lions (15/6/13)

Croft and Davies really pushing for test places, both have been superb. Not the only ones, but I feel they deserve being singled out.

Davies isn't the quickest centre ever, but he's far from slow. He's deceptive, looks much slower than he is. He's the quickest centre in the Lions squad for certain (well maybe not now 36 is there, not too sure of his pace though, but I'd imagine he's pretty quick), although Manu is also quicker than he looks.

Edit. Roberts injured?

looks like he has a hamstring strapping on maybe that is slowing him down in this game, he has had a pretty good game though. Best back on show for me.

Tahs out on their feet now and the Lions have lost their shape after a 5 man changeover!! Really hope that injury to Roberts isn't bad!

Roberts is out. The man knows more than enough about his own body to know it. That camera shot said all that needed to be said.

If Roberts is gone I'd go with Davies for the 12, he's played brilliantly all tour imo.

yeah. People also forget that he plays 12 for the Scarlets, so he's perfectly comfortable there. If anything, he plays out of position at 13 for Wales.

Just hope that one of Roberts, Tuilagi or North is fit so we have good centre cover. I know 36 is in the squad now, but he hasn't plays yet. There's always the possibility of Hogg covering centre, although I'd be concerned about his defence there (he struggled a little defensively at 10). Farrell is another I suppose. And Phillips covered the centre in SA.

Because there are only like three Oz supporters on this forum, I'm going to be the only one to say that Drew Mitchell has been great for the Tahs, and I think Deans will probably look at him as the next outside back to bring in if there are any injuries etc.
