Muggins here is gonna be in work for this one :(

Olyy, here's my 2 cents: if you want to watch the game 'as live' without knowing the score, avoid updates/the forum and all, and later in the day go to
https://www.youtube.com/user/KostazHD?feature=watch

or https://www.youtube.com/user/FullRugbyMatches?feature=watch

These channels upload the full games, KostazHD had the Country XV full game up by 4 pm the same day. By using these links to go directly to where the games are, you can avoid having to search for the game and inadvertently finding out the result.

Reading reports that the Lions will be facing a second string team with the Ta's withdrawing 16 senior squad members. With a quote of We are not here to help the lions prepare.

That very much goes against these two snippets:

Waratahs coach Michael Cheika wants his side to create a lifetime memory with a win over British and Irish Lions

THEY'LL be "massive" underdogs, but Michael Cheika doesn't want his rookie Waratahs side to settle for a once-in-a-lifetime experience against the British and Irish Lions on Saturday night.
He'd prefer they chase a lifetime memory instead.
"It's about making it something you can remember and say you played in an international level fixture where you made something of it," Cheika said.
"I remember as a Randwick player we played against the All Blacks in 1988, and that was such a famous day. We didn't win, they'd just won the World Cup. We'd lost 22-9 but we were in the match for long periods of the game, and it was a great battle.
"That's important, to make it a good contest."
Spirits are high in the NSW camp after the depleted Tahs beat the Western Force at the weekend, but already missing ten Wallabies and eight injured men, the loss of halves Bernard Foley and Matt Lucas to sevens duty has further weakened the team.
"I think the players aren't happy about it either. Forget about me. I don't think the two players are happy about it," Cheika said.
"I don't know if we can play like the Reds did, considering we have a lot of new players in the squad.
"We will have to find another way. Playing with a certain physicality or a certain style that will help us be competitive."
Cheika said the under-strength Tahs would not take in a close enough is good enough attitude.
"I don't want to teach the lads to be gloriously defeated. I know it is a very, very small chance we can win, but if there is a small chance we have to try and go for it," Cheika said.
"The odds are obviously are against us massively but we have to try and buck the odds."
After withdrawing late last week, Pat McCutcheon is expected to return and lead the side.

And this from another forum: GAGR just posted on facebook that Foley and Lucas have been released from the Australian 7s squad for this game.

Fantastic news for the Tahs (and us supporters)!

I actually watched the Reds game on there :D
I don't bother trying to avoid the score since the Six Nations: Spent all day looking forward to the games, went on my break when the games weren't on/avoided looking at the sky news on the TVs, then as I was leaving two people walked past and one said to the other "Did you see the England game? Yeah they won blah blah blah"

It looks like it depends on the rag you read. A few hours ago a day after this article they are reporting a different story. Bordering on a diplomatic incident with real concerns if it is even worth the Lions touring Oz in 12 years time.

Thanks for these links I was looking for it for along time.

This will be another training run for the Lions..................

I don't believe that comment about "we are not here to help the lions prepare". Cheika is in his first year, he has a point to prove with the waratahs and comes across as more of an "aussie battler" than other coaches in Australia. he seems self motivated and passionate, the type that wouldn't back down from a good fight. look out for big will skelton, all 130kg of him

Cheika is a hard bugger. No way would he be willing to concede one.

Good to see them reacting to the criticism!
Guessing that's definitely the team Draggs? From the rumours that they're gonna start pretty much a test team, I'd say that's not far off at all! Only changes I'd make is North on the wing (though Zebo has his shot to claim a test spot here with Bowe out of the 1st one - big fan, so hope he tears **** up), BOD at 13, Hibbard starting, and probably one of Lydiate, Tipuric (Warburton to 6) or O'Brien instead of Croft.

Yep.

A very understrength Waratahs side. At this rate the Lions will be heading into the 1st test seriously underdone.

Wait, the Waratahs' 23 has been released?

Not sure. Just read reports that stated 16 Tahs players were missing from their regular match day squad for the Lions game. So essentially a Waratahs B side.
