Stormers ahead by 0-3 by a Grant-penalty

Waiting for Sker, stormer2010 and some more Bulls/Stormers fans now haha. Grant made it 0-6 now. I really do not get why they kick for goal when they get a penalty 5 metres from the try line. You should score your tries early at Loftus when you get a chance

Bulls are rushing things after going behind, showing none of the patience they had last year

I don't know who I would prefer to win, my eternal hatred for the Bulls is being somewhat countered by my wanting the Sharks to remain top of the log

I don't mind losing the nr. 1 spot on the log for a week or 2. Remember, we have had 3 out of 4 matches overseas already, won 2 WITH a bonuspoint, lost the 3rd but getting a bonuspoint so we are right up there for the top place on the log and in the conference. The Stormers and Bulls still have to go to the Tasman

35 minutes played and so far it's still a penalty feast more than a nice entertaining match to watch. Normally the Bulls are the boring team (Bore Bulls) but the Stormers are choosing too much to kick for goal in stead of going for the try. This way they go top of the log after round 5 with only scoring 1 try... They are bottom of all 15 teams when it comes to try scoring. How weird is that?

Man o man, what sloppy play. Little kick from Basson, Habana gets to the ball but tumbles it, Basson gets to the ball first, try for the Bulls. 8-12 with a conversion to go.

Try, Habana! 13-23. Finally that second try for the Stormers. A kick down the left wing, Habana runs past Basson to snatch the ball and go over the line.

Coetzee is pulling a P Divvy... Jean de Villiers moves to the wing while de Jongh forms a partnership with Jaqueline Fourie and Poolman is off

Too bad no Stormers or Bulls fans were here to discuss the match. Despite that: Congrats to stormer2010, Sker and all others with the win!

Northern Transvaal vs Western Province. I like.

Thanks for the congrats, Ez. Yeah, the guys aren't finishing off but we started of the same way last year. As for not going for posts.. I think it would have been suicide with the line-outs a lottery. Seriously, I felt half of those calls were VERY harsh.

We are carrying the ball up but that support play and off-loading isn't there yet. While we are waiting for it to come back I can assure you that any Stormers fan will take an ugly win especially at Loftus.

We are missing Joe Pietersen and even though I can't belie I'm saying this, Naqelevuki did give us a lot more penetration than we currently have. I say drop Poolman. Habana blows hot and cold or rather somewhat warm and cold but at least he looks for work. JdJ is too good to waste on the bench so I'd say shift JdV to the wing or put him on the bench for the next 2 games and bring in Engelbrecht. I don't know how Poolman leap-frogged ngelbrecht but I thought that AC obviously had more info to work from but I say bring back Engelbrecht or Whitehead on the wing. Engelbrecht 1st chioce but Whitehead also likes to get involved.

Other than that I am happy; all the individuals are bringing their best and while we are a little rusty in attack it has been looking better and better each week. Even though the increments aren't what one would call big.

Hehe, I try to do something different everytime ;)

Northern Transvaal - Western Province just sounds nice. I think it's because I watched the 1983 Currie Cup final last week on my new 27 inch screen ;)

The names just stuck and when I created the topic, I just had to do it this way

Thanks Ezequiel :)

Guys... woah...

I watched this at our local pub/restaurant/inn about 5 minutes before the match I was seated next to an extremely big typical boer omie (who kept shouting Stormers!) people surrounding me, sitting everywhere. Even one guy sat on the pool table. When Habana got that try... The place went crazy, I was so caught up on the atmosphere, I don't think I've ever screamed that much in my life. It was amazing, I was at Newlands for the Cheetahs game (first time!) but it didn't compare to tonight. It was crazy. It was incredibly fun.

EDIT: Did you guys see Mannetjies Roux and Laurika Rauch? Half of the place were singing along, including me and my friends.

Sker... Why are you not participating in the prediction anymore??? :(

Oh shiiiiiiiiiiii! I completely forgot about the prediction. I will resume my predicting this week, and to make up for things I shall wear my lucky hat and take first place. For I shall have to go to bed now on account of being slightly celebratory drunk.

Taking first place... I want to see that happening... You need to predict the winner, try score, points score of 5 matches to take the crown!!!

Good to see you are back! Congrats still with the win. Anything to see the Bulls lose!

i hope the crusaders teach every non-new zealand team a lesson about rugby this season.. i think ill be pleasently surprised.

sharks.. beaten by the chiefs = useless

bulls.. beaten by the highlanders = useless

cheetahs.. as above

lions = see cheetahs

.. stormers.. will sadly learn that one grant penalty is only three points whearas a robbie fruen try converted by dan carter is worth seven.. aka = useless

Very poor attempt at a wind up mate, hardly any subtlety, must try harder
