What a moron and he will enter every Top 10 from here on with that

This is a good game to show everyone who was interested the differences between Canadian and American girdiron codes, Hamilton had a huge comeback win over Saskatchewan in a thriller last weekend. Take note of the much larger field, players in motion, the single point rule and the focus on long pass plays.

Field looks wider and I like the multiple motions before the snap.

How does it compare to the heavily favoured QB/WR rules of the NFL?

It's kind of similar in some ways if not even more favoured, you aren't allowed to interfere with a receiver after only 1 yard, I do think the refs are a little more lenient on pass interference though, there are also only three downs and 12 players on each side. Teams almost never line up with a Tight End(Position is virtually dead in CFL) instead they have an additional position called slotback which is closer in from the sideline than WR. Play clock is shorter only 30 seconds instead of 40 so plays are more frequent, as well a play must be run at the end of each quarter which reduces the number of kneel downs at the end of the game.

CFL Field dimensions are 110 yards long field with 20 yard deep end zones, and 65 yards wide, goal posts are at the front of the end zone. As compared to NFL field which is 100 yards long with 10 yard deep end zones and is 53.3 yards wde with goal posts at the back of the end zone(since 1974).

The no kneeldowns and 30 second play clock is good.

What's watching it like on TV? Many cutaways to ads? Or do the broadcast have a rugby feel (as in, during in between plays they just have the commentators running instead of an ad every 15 seconds or so...)?

Less ads than NFL, but still quite a few mostly after scoring plays and punts, you still do see kneeldowns they just happen waaayyyy less. Each team only has one timeout per half which also means less cutting to commercials.

Its back!!!

Season kicks off tonight with the NY Giants playing Dallas, We've had a nervous wait here as Sky's TV deal was only announced yesterday, for a bit there I thought I'd be stuck with Channel 4 at for the Sunday night game.

Lucky or me splashed out on Game Pass. Cracking deal.

I just hope the Cowboys actually do well this season.

Should be watching most of tonights game on sky, also the Green Bay game is also sky so gonna set that to record :)

I bought game pass last year and set me back around ~$200NZ. Don't have the cash right now so might have to catch up with HL online and/or 'other sources' (if anyone knows any). ;)

The Monday night games, previously on ESPN, will now be on the BBC. Thats the more amazing news. It means that along with channel 4 there will be almost as much NFL than domestic rugby on free-to-air TV.

Got the packers game on record (as I wont be able to watch it people will be in watching sky at the time <.<) So get to watch that monday just have to hide from the score.. Hopefully opening weekend is a good one though tbh. Also the BBC games any news if they will be on iPlayer afterwards?

I've posted this in part for gridiron fans but mostly for the benefit of Shaggy who I know can't wait to experience once again seeing Hamilton's biggest win in 13 years, acheived over his Eskimos. :D

Heartbreaking Ravens loss.

But man, the Cards are showing people that their D matters. And how 'bout them Cowboys!??!?

I was pleased the Bills showed they can actually play Spiller was fantastic, Ravens loss burned me on the bru this weekend.

I need the Falcons to lose as much as they can because they are my favorite team's rival in their division, but thanks to Mr Interception Manning doesn't look likely this evening.

You can't write Peyton off as long as he's within two TDs reach of the game...

Who do you follow?

At the rate these "refs" are going, you could get two rugby games in. Plus commercials. :D

The Saints, the guys playing without their coach all season and having dropped the first two.

And I only wish they put rugby on national television here, even the home team has to be watched on satellite or streaming computer video.

Plus like you said, Manning has gotten it together since the 1st quarter and has now drawn within one score with a few minutes remaining. Good luck to his defense to get him back the ball.

Oh, the team with the replacement for the replacement coach. Brees needs others to step up. Running game looked better last game. Though needs to do more than just dump it off to Sproles 100 times a game.

You guys should get some version of Gamepass over there. I'm lucky that the NFL is offering it here for this season.
