"Eddie Jones is a world class coach and did a lot of good things today."
A reasonable performance by Scotland and their reserve players all put in a good shift (even Horne despite a tragic 60 second spell he had). Laidlaw seems to have evolved and sped up his decision making and delivery so I have to give him a mention as I'm always ragging on him.
Losing Seymour is a big blow and Hogg hasn't really come close to top gear yet. Scotland also botched a golden opportunity for a BP that is probably essential for them to have a chance of winning the tournament. They'll have to find another gear or two to win in Dublin I think. At least Townsend has remedied his horrific tactical errors in Cardiff.
England seem preoccupied in selecting top athletes with okay rugby ability rather than very good athletes with great rugby skills. Eddie Jones would be well advised to look at some of the players he took to the tour of Argentina last year in my opinion. The failure to secure a losing BP here or a winning BP last week probably means they are relying on other results if they are to retain their ***le.
