LV= Cup 14/15 General Thread

Yeah, Cole was very impressive off the bench.
All our scrum penalties/dominance was coming through Lewis-Roberts side, but Cole just dismantled him completely.

Hopefully Tigers don't burn him out, due to their injuries, because if we can get a fully fit/firing Cole (something we've not really seen in years) into the England side then it'll be a big boost.

I feel that Balmains performances has given cockers the trust that he can come on with 20/25 mins to go and be able to handle it.

That was really the problem. In Castro's last season when he went downhill, and then the season after when they failed to bring in a decent replacement meant Cole was playing 70+ minutes very often, whereas earlier in his career he was kept fresh as Castro and Cole would rotate and play more 50/30. I think up until his injury he had only missed 1 England game as well, I think Wilson showing he is an international standard tighthead could help take some work off his shoulders, but I can't see Leicester wanting to play Balmain too much more unless they have to.

Hopefully they can bring back some pride after those second stringers were an embarrassment in that second half last week.

I'm a big fan of our new arrogant attitude this season, but starting with 14 players might be taking it a bit far, Rats...

We've got a guy still at school on the bench he's 17 and is our back up fly half a one to watch his name Theo Brophy Clews.

I think you need to put the crack pipe down, mate.

:lol:

Should be a good battle between the young backrows in the Bath/Quins game. Expecting Auterac to dominate the scrums today

Banahan's ability to slide over the tryline but not get the ball down, get back up and go under the sticks, is pretty impressive.

I imagine it'll backfire one day and he'll touch the deadball line, or someone will dive on him and hold him up, but it's working out pretty well for him so far.

As expected Auterac has Lambert on toast in the scrum.
Quins bounce back from poor start 5 - 10

Yes I think you're right, both Sinkler and Collier are injured right now, so it's an enforced move. Although I think he has had some game time at tighthead before?
anyway it's all even at 10 - 10.
