June Internationals - South Africa vs. Scotland (15/06/2013)

It's going to pave way for new heroes to emerge *nordic saga voice*

Okay, let's see how to respond to this on a serious note:

The Sharks have players who either have no leadership qualities (Steyn, Bismarck du Plessis, Mtawarira, Jannie du Plessis, Alberts, Mvovo, youngsters (Lambie, Coetzee) or players who are not up to the challenge (Daniel, Deysel, Kankowski)

Looking at the 'Vaal, they hardly have any players in the Bok squad in recent years. None at the moment, even.
And Pierre Spies have leadership qualities? pft
Shame that Bearded monster left the Vaalies. He would have been a good captain

Interesting facts about this matchup. Not that there's any actual significance to it, but it's interesting to see SA has actually struggled against Scotland, a team that hasn't been a force in about a decade. Last 3 confrontations:

2012:
South Africa won 21-10 in Edinburgh
2010: South Africa lost 21-17 in Edinburgh
2008: South Africa won 14-10 in Edinburgh

and at the end of a tough season with PDivvy firmly embedded as head coach and at the 'height' of his carreer. Remember we aren't used to **** weather. Now is the time for Scotland to pay the price for us having to play on their soft pitches.

NZ didn't seem to experience too many problems in Murrayfield.
But, surely, you make perfectly valid and undeniable points.

Anyways, Scotland is going to take a bad pounding unfortunately here...

Scotland played NZ when the weather was pretty good. Dry pitch, beautiful weather.

However, when they played South Africa, especially in 2010, the pitch was wet and the weather was awful.

The Scots are a very respectable team capable of performing very well, that said:
- The are playing on the highveld, very hot, thin oxygen and hard ground.
- They are missing their stars (Hogg. Maitland, Gray, Brown), Lions tour.
- Their stars of the past are old and have left the squad or generally deteriorated.
# Rory Lamont, Sean Lamont, and Chris Paterson used to be their standard back three, only Sean is left and he isn't 100% the player he used to be.
# Joe Ansbro (Broken Neck)
# Alastair Kellock (where the **** did he go)
# Dan parks (not the best 10 in the world but losing a fly-half always forces a restructure)

Scotland are a great team considering their small population density, however since they are in a rebuilding phase, lack their best players, and are playing in a foreign environment (even as a high school boy touring to the highveld was a significant difference, to playing at home, **** burns!) they will struggle against us.

tl:dr; I respect the Scots as a nation but in the best of times they are competitive against us, lacking their best players, experienced players moving on, and a difficult location Scotland have little chance.

35-6 to SA.
Tries to:
JJ
Botha
Willie
Habana

(Predictions just for funzies).

Match is about to start and Springboks play in white. I must say, the white shirt looks amazing this year. Real improvement from last years design.

Hoping for a try by Le Roux and Coetzee. I think it will be a blow out.

55-9

Scotland with an early 3-0 lead. Scotland's winning this game... they're too much to handle for the frail Boks, they can't contain the mighty angry Scots today.

Why Lime Green though?

Scots playing well but too many mistakes and one fears they may pay for it soon...............

You are very combative today.......had a bad day?

bravo Scotland. Bravo, bravo, bravo. So beautiful to see a struggling team redeem itself somewhat. They've been stringing flairy attack this whole start of the match.
