June Internationals : South Africa A vs. England Saxons [1st Match] (10/06/2016)

Summary of the game is the South African defence on people running from the 22/turnovers is pretty abysmal. We're not this much better than them. Hard to tell much given the error count/massive gains out of nowhere.

I love how any time the Saffas say "focus" it comes out as "**** us".

Would love to see how many breakdown penalties we've given away

Edit:
Have the two hookers swapped sides? So many lineout turnovers

The referees seem to be over penalising England and letting SA get away with a lot.

Never seen him throw this bad,

SA lineout is crap as well - maybe altitude + cobbled together LO = problems.

Our tackling is pretty poor, letting the Saffas through too easily.

Let's see what Wade can do

Would like to see Ewers on for Armand and James for Devoto,
Not been particularly impressed with either of them.
Hell, I'm not even sure if Armand's playing. Same with Sam Jones. And Ewels.

That tackle from Kvesic was mint. Making a dominant hit when you're chasing the guy is pretty special

Wade's going to have fun; just don't take Roko off to make room - Lewington's been... disappointing; though he's not really had much chance.

ETA: Oops, I see the change was made whilst I was out of the room - who went off?

I wish we'd stop kicking it so much, we are just letting the Saffas do all the running and our defence isn't good enough to play that sort of game.

Was that an early tackle?

not particularly - looked to me like the ball had hit the saffer; that he didn't control it isn't Devo's fault (commentators call for yellow).

1st half we had Thompkins put a grubber through, take 2-3 paces in chase; the ball hits SA7 in the groin, who then takes Thompkins out (commentators call "perfectly timed tackle")
