June International Test: Australia vs. England [2nd Test] (18/06/2016)

I 100% agree with what you're saying, but I also think it's fair to say that they've both improved massively on their weaknesses. Both have been getting a few turnovers, which last year, or maybe even last month, would've been unimaginable. And whereas Haskell used to just be a lump, his work rate is now superhuman, the same goes for Robshaw, but his work rate's always been great. I think it's fair to say now that if both keep up the form they've found under Jones, both are serious contenders for spots in the Lions squad.

They have always gotten the odd turnover. But yes they've both improved massively and it seems EJ has made them own who they are as 6.5s and just go out and play. Lions wise Haskell would make living with the lions more interesting but with falatau, heaslip, vunipola, etc there is a lot of competition there.

Don't mistake arrogance for truth.

The Aussie backline was simply terrible and Fardy dropped more balls than a teenage boy hitting puberty.

The AB's are clinical in attack, albeit a bit soft in defense at the moment. England defended nicely, but ultimately won because of Australias woeful handling error count and lack of imagination in attack. Can you really picture the AB's putting in a performance like that?

No.

Although I don't agree with what your saying and think you are being a bit arrogant, that was funny.

Good win by an England side that were not at their best today. To be fair, the bad weather made it difficult for both teams but especially Australia because they play a more ball in hand type of game. In the end, the English pack were too good and Aussie backs made too many handling errors. Its not the greatest Australian backline I've seen.

You've listed 3 8s, 1 of which isn't really in Lions contention (We know which one I mean), Haskell's a 6/7 (Yes, after his recent performances I do think he can be considered as a 7). There, again the competition is tight, but I'd say both Haskell and Robshaw have a chance. They have a way to go, but it's possible. Especially when you consider that assuming SOB and POM will be back to their form of old is a big stretch considering how long they'll have been out.

I both are 6s now and I agree they have a chance. But with the players we have I can see one of heaslip or falatau (definitely falatau) as playing 6. He played 6 today very well.

IRB World Rankings now

1. New Zealand 96.10
2. England 88.50
3. South Africa 85.66
4. Australia 85.43
5. Argentina 82.59
6. Wales 82.49
7. Ireland 82.33
8. Scotland 79.50
9. France 78.37
10. Fiji 77.12

Oh I see what you meant now. I could get on board with Faletau 6, Vunipola 8 but not Heaslip 6, Faletau 8, there just isn't enough carrying strength for me. And Faletau has to be in there, he's the 2nd best 8 in the world. So if I was going with a 2 8s back row it would be Faletau-Vunipola. I wouldn't have thought Heaslip will be going on the tour, especially when CJ will likely be going and can play 8.

Sorry, what don't you agree with what I said?

That the All Blacks aren't clinical in attack?
That Australia weren't awful in attack?
That England were awful in defense?

What was incorrect by your standards of what I said?

It would be great to play England though, they have come a long way under Jones and playing to their potential finally. I'm sure it would be a hard fought contest and I look forward to when it finally comes around. Congratulations to England for their first test series win down under, great achievement so quickly after a disappointing RWC.

To be fair what have the NZ done of note recently?

OHHHH Beat Wales WOW, that is really really difficult to do, England only manged to trash them with our 2nds/3rds team.

Basically the Rankings are flawed England ATM are the bestest team is the whole wide worlds.

I haven't seen heaslip much this season tbh so if u say he's not good enough then falatau-vunipola for me. After watching NZ today and how good they are at clearing out their own rucks/contesting defensive rucks I'm starting to lean towards having 2 6s rather than an out and out 7. So haskshaw could fill that role.

One-eyed kiwi's as usual. If the match happened this year, Eddie would've had a lot more time as England coach, plus studying the All Blacks. For goodness sake, Lancaster beat the AB's. AB's are a alot better than back then, but so is the 'new' coach of England.

Sore losing South Africans as usual lol. If England played South Africa then England would thrash the Boks. Just carrying on like you :)

The only one-eyed person here is you and your seething obvious jealousy.
