Ireland vs England

Cullen should definitely be starting. If only because he's so ugly he can terrify any opposition into submission.

POC hasn't been at his best but in key moments at the end of games such as against Scotland he's done some really key things and showed his experience.

As and englishman I'd be happier to see Sexton start. Not because he's less good than ROG but because ROG is a good tactician and I have bad memories of him doing his annoyingly accurate grubber kicks into the corner in the dying moments of past matches when England really need to score.

I'm scared of every Irishman playing for Ireland on Saturday. After the defeat to Wales (which was unfair imo - an I'm half Welsh!) Ireland will be a very dangerous team. Most definately the hardest England will have had to face this 6n. I can't see England winning this one. The pressure of the unmentionable thing involving 'slams that are grand' and the Ireland team which will probably have it's best game of the tournament (much like Scotland) makes any hope for an English victory look slim.

Sorry about the pessimism :p

If Banahan's bought in to O/C It would be nice to see what he can do there playing from the very start. Although he's not good enough, he's a step up from Tindall, even if only for his superior passing.

i hope Healy and O'Connell make you an unhappy english man this weekend by playing to their standards which haven't met this season.
POC...I'll give you that, when he decided to play he can be very good
Healy, though. His standards involve being pushed backwards at a rate of knots or headbutting the ground

How can people say POC to be dropped ha he has been in good form lately and I think if Cullen were to come in it'd be for DOC and not Paulie.
And I've no doubt regardless of who starts. Ireland will be fired up because it's against England, we haven't won't at home yet in 6 Nations and well there is pride to be restored in these lads.

If only we had more Italian members, that would have completed the set of "because it's England" comments. Shame.

I know, it's as if the English players will all just be thinking "ah, can't be f**ked with this match, we've already played and won four, shall we just put out the u20s instead, and hit the pub?"

Whats the scrum half situation with Ireland at the moment?

The Irish scrum-half situation is eternally poor.

I don't get why they don't ring up every undeclared scrum-half in England, New Zealand and Australia and find some with an Irish granny.

Because, seemingly, asking the Irish to produce a scrum-half is like asking the BNP to be nice to black people.

Yeah, I actually meant Cullen should come in for DOC, even though I went on to talk about POC.

Reddan I've heard will make it but not confirmed although Stringer in good form too.

England team announcement is tomorrow,
Tindalls scans show a strained ligament, he's staying in the England camp to receive treatment, but no news whether he'll be fit for the match

Ireland starting team as predicteddd: 15: Earls 14: Bowe 13: BOD 12 D'arcy 11: Trimble 10: Sexton 9: Reddan 8: Heaslip 7: Wallace 6: SOB 5: POC 4: DOC 3: Ross 2: Best 1: Healey

Reddan still needing confirmation from various testttttttttttttts

McFadden and Luke Fitz are being badly mistreated. Cullen arguably so as well.

Paddy Wallace on the bench offers noting that McFadden or Luke Fitzgerald can't do now that we have two proper outhalfs.

It'll be interesting to see Earls on the ball more. Hopefully D'Arcy doesn't drop the ball too often in this match and I hope Reddan is fit.

I doubt we will win this not because I think England's player's are a class above , in some places yes they are, but because they are playing as a team much better then we are and MJ isn't making bad decisions apart form Hape. I know that we will be hungry for a win as we should of won last week and it's in Lands Down and it's England but it's not enough were not playing well and all these resons are not going to help us if we are going to win we need to pull the finger put and put in a performce withc we have shown we canot do.

Rant 1 over

'why would Kidney drop Fitz after one badish game and leave DOC TOL D'arcy and Leamy in the squad after putting shite out every signal time they've put on green this year it's mind boggling, and unacceptable.

rant 2 over

Summery: were ******

Why is Trimble there over McFadden?
I though McF played well at the start of the tournament

Great Trimble is back so already that's England with 16 and we have 14.
Earls at 15 is a strange call and from seeing him with Munster in past he hasn't got the positional sense BUT he doesn't kick much either and it could be exciting watching him counter.
How McFadden isn't at 12 I don't know.
ROG and Sexton are both good so no qualms there but Wallace on bench is a poor coaching selection considering options available.
