Ireland v Wales

No, O'Driscoll was done for being off his feet, i.e. leaning on the player on the ground with his knees. Shane was clearly on his feet, and there was no other Irish player there = no ruck, therefore why does Shane have to let him place the ball?

The Ref has been generally good. But fluffed a decision that may have cost Wales a try. Ireland took the chance well though. Cmon Wales - a better second half please.

O'Leary's having a good match as well, and O'Connells been playing brilliantly in the lineout and in general

Playing well today, although Sexton has been disappointing with the boot, fine with ball in hand mind. Possibly time to bring on ROG? Far better performance from Tom O'Leary today. Doesn't look like a Welsh comeback is on.

Game set match. Once again a team playing Wales hasn't even needed to come out of second gear to win convincingly. Wales have some gifted players, we just lack the defensive organisation and set piece at the moment. I am not sure if I blame the coaches or the players.

Every F*CKING time Ireland turn the ball over in the breakdown the ref assumes its an infringement

Wales have been absolutely hopeless.

Completely senseless play - they just go the same way again and again and again.

Well played Ireland ! it was a nice match...Wales missed some consistency , missed some creativity as well (they could have tried to play like against france in 2nd half for example with some little kick above the defense..), they had some occasions and were not able to take them.

That Ireland win was made in Munster with O'Leary, O'Connell, Wallace and Earls the best performers.

Ireland were very flat though and played uninspiring rugby. Put the ball in Earls, Bowe and O'Driscoll's hands and see what they can do! It was a clinical rather than a good performance.

Yeah, Wales had a couple of missed opportunities, but Ireland played better in general, and deserved the win.

Congrats Ireland. As a whole, Ireland were happy to keep it pretty tight all game and it worked.

A couple of decisions didn't go Wales way mid-game, but thats no excuse for falling apart like they did. I think Hook and Martyn Williams had another poor game.

lol, the ref had some weird interperations at the breakdown, didn't think that new one had been introduced here yet! Irelend were on the wrong end of it in the second half, and because of it they probably should have been handed a yellow card.

Overall though, no complaints, ref was a bit weird altogether.

Irish defense was very good, really stopped the Welsh backline getting into space. However did this on many occasions by simly being offside.

Plenty of ball today, too many mistakes and lack of penetration. Roberts looked good in attack, consistently getting over the gainline. Thought Bradley Davies was immense, really carried well. Jon Thomas worked hard, and sorted out the lineout on his own in the second half. The rest were a bit meh though, and Peel had a mare after coming on, his passing was appalling! Poor performance today, showed nothing much atall.

Ireland were deserved winners, very clinical with their opportunities again.

Yes, they're playing a strange game. Absorb pressure, give away penalties galore - same as against England - and yet use their 20 mins of dominance to score twice as much as the opposition. Hmmm.

The series of scrums around 50 mins was strange as well - Wales totally dominant, then Ireland push them off the ball.

Won't comment on the ref at breakdown, except it's frustrating to see BOD and Wallace get pinged for what last season would be seen as excellent defence.

Thought Byrne was good, but best Wales player was Bradley Davies - as strong a carrier as Powell, but not as reckless.

Ireland uber clinical. Had less ball than Wales, passed less than Wales and gave away a further bucketload of penalties but didn't matter because they scored their tries and if Sexton had been more accurate would have been so far ahead they may as well should have been playing Scotland next weekend.

Puts it all in perspective for Wales. Still nobody who can adequately unlock Jamie Roberts like BOD can, Halfpenny wasted as an attacking asset and Lee Byrne's silly little chav antics putting his immense talent in the shade. Give that man a burberry hoodie and a bottle of Buckfast.

Dare I say it but if Scotland hadn't have gifted Wales the game on a silver plate it would have been Wales facing a wooden spoon decider next weekend. How things change in less than 2 years...

EDIT: Absorb pressure? Unleash hell in the last 20 minutes? Isn't that rope-a-dope? Kidney been force feeding his squad non-stop Ali fights?
