It was a bit tongue in cheek! Conners has been preferred this season in big matches, an international in his own right derailed by two huge injuries and Ryan still on the mend after three months is probably the more accurate answer.

Still, we've scored 3 points in the last 20 minutes of the last three finals played in combined so it can't hurt to bring one of the club captains, a Lion and a former WPOTY off the bench.
