We're going to lose. That 10-12-13 axis is defensively disgraceful. Leamy isn't good enough, why is Deccie still picking him? Why does Donnacha Ryan get 2 games in a row while Kev McLaughlin is forced to settle for a bench spot once? Aside from those three things, it's okay. The bench looks good. But we're still going to lose.

Happy enough with the team. The coach is rotating his squad wisely so that everybody sees time on the field. I hope Murray and Jones get half an hour. If Earls plays well, it'll see Fergus McFadden cut from the squad. Donnacha Ryan is in pole position to be the 4th lock/ utility backrow. Hopefully he's finally living up to his talent,

Good Points: Best scrummaging frontrow so won't be embarassed there.
Liked the back three last week hopefully they can push on.
Murray and Jones on bench hopefully each get at least 20 min.

Bad Points: Back-row it's alright but it's giving me a bad feeling. Why Heaslip on the bench can only cover 8 which SO'B could do unless they wanna try him 7?
10-12 Sexton and Wallace O.K. but RO'G and Wallace all France have to do is attack that channel.

Who's captain Cullen again maybe? Also can someone add the vBokkie please?

I can't understand the thought behind trying Paddy Wallace again... sure, have him as a jack-of-all-trades backup option on the bench to be used when only necessary, but he is not, never was and never will be (IMO) an international class player. A good club player, yes. A player Ireland should be turning to when our first team centres are unavailable, no (and I wonder still at no James Downey from Northampton ever getting even looked at...)

Glad Cullen is being given a 2nd game in a row and retained the captaincy however.

Paddy Wallace. Why?

I can't wait to see the back of him on the international scene. Hopefully he'll be gone after the World Cup.

Where has the edit feature gone?

Also, his persistence with Trimble sugests he plans to bring him. Or else maybe he's trying to decide between Luke or Trimble?

Agree I can't stand paddy Wallace. I like the attacking potential with this line up but also agree I can't see 10-12-13 being able to hold the fort in defence.

France are our biggest bogey team so I think it great we face them twice in the warm up. Face your fears an all that we need a challenge to get us on fighting form for next month.

Well can start at a few points:
@Feic - D.Ryan getting chances because if stories are to be believed he is playing excellent in training and is near to sealing his ticket on the plane.
Leamy did well last week and well he will go to RWC as back up at 8 and is versatile.
And well yes the 10-12-13 axis could be exposed defensively but what other options had he, Sexton is a good 10 defensively but we can't expect him to be overused either.

Also lads SOB and Leamy can be rotated to make space for Heaslip however Kidney decides to do it.
Also if BOD is injured we need someone settled for 13 and it seems Earls is been given that duty.
Also hope to see Murray get a decent chance to nail his spot.

My wow in the first post was sarcastic the paper made a few paragraphs out of it.
Ahhh missed the Sarcasm. My fault, and you are dead right.

Not bad rotation, have the same gripes as everyone else with the team, but again the result is not very important. We have three more games before Australia.

France should win fairly comfortably though, it'll be another game where our backrow (what backrow I hear you shout?) trots from one breakdown to the other, contributing nothing and allowing the opposition to dominate posession.

Not a bad team other than I would have liked to have seen Mcfadden start at inside centre with Earls or Bowe outside of him. In the backrow I would have had SOB at 6, McLaughlin/Jennings at 7 depending on injury and Leamy at 8.
