For talking rot.

Are they going to pull an Italy/Georgia and come down to the US on the tour too, or do I have to pull out the ol passport to see those guys?

I'm in Montreal till May next year. I've been thinking of hanging around for a bit of the summer because 9 month leases are a bit of a pain in the ass to get. How many games are we playing in Canada? may just be worth hanging round and following the tour...

What are you doing in Canada, Feic? Montreal is pretty bloody cold in the winter I hear.

I got accepted to do a year's erasmus in McGill, so I'll be doing third year physics, which will be fun. Pretty good department too, think it's in the top 20 in the world.

Oh, and pretending to be in Game Of Thrones. Mainly that.

Very good school, nice work bru.
Drink, that will keep you warm. (Not really, just affect your blood flow so you are temporarily feeling warmer, but still)

Probably just the one game Feic, I would assume in Toronto at BMO field, than they will play the States as well and maybe the Argies.

Have you been following the Student strikes in Quebec, Owen? Will this effect your time here at all?

@ Draggs best political ad ever!!! HAHAHAHA.

There we go! I wasn't expecting too many people to get it, so thanks for obliging me.
I seriously can't look at the clip without laughing, everything that man did was wonderful/insane.

What is BMO field like? I was at the York University ground when Wales played there in 2009. Not a bad ground actually, only issue for some was getting there from the city.
They used to use Fletchers for the internationals, didn't they?

BMO Field takes both those locations behind the wood shed. It sits over 20,000 is only a few years old, has a beautiful pitch and great facilities, is a one minute walk from a train station, access to buses, and decent sized parking lots. It hosts International soccer as well and Toronto FC the local MLS team. I catch the train in from Burlington and I'm right there. The only issue I have is that is a hot venue, literally, something about it's location and materials mean it can get boiling in our hot summers, I was completely drenched in sweat for the game last August against the States, and had a wet towel stuck over my head for the entire 2nd half. This year was an evening game which was much better.

York is awful to get to and I didn't even bother going to that game, my friends had gone up there in 2006 to see what was one of the worst Canadian performances ever when Wales kicked the snot out of them, only Canadian rugby game I watched on TV that I actually turned off it was THAT bad, I think Daypuck went like 1 for 5 with goal kicks that day.

Fletchers got used quite some time ago it's not a bad place for the Ontario Blues and the League boys play there once in a blue moon as well but even they are moving there games to Lamport Stadium in Toronto. Fletcher's was up in Markham it was fairly easy to drive to but was quite a distance outside the city. Also neither of those stadiums were fully licensed so if you wanted a beer you had to sit in the "Beer tent" and you could either drink or watch the game which was retarded, BMO is fully licensed. Fletcher's also brought an ambiance of.....what Pritchard called it "a cow pasture North of Toronto" LOL, it looked really amateurish to host a team in the top 15 of the IRB rankings there. At least York looked better on TV as did Kingston's university field a couple of weeks ago and Swangard in BC has some picturesque scenery in the background.

Here is the League boys playing the RAF at Fletcher's on last Sunday if you want to see what it looks like,

Yeah BMO looks a nice stadium. Ease of access is a must, glad they have some good transportation. I didn't think York was difficult to get to, mind. Subway from city centre to York and a bus to the uni. Those who drove could hardly find parking. I liked the feel of the stadium though, good seats and had a chance to talk to the players afterwards.

Wish the boys were heading over to Canada next year like they did in 2005 and 2009. Japan is the destination this time, I believe.

Sorry it was 2005 not 2006 like I said, 04-05 was a real rough patch for Canada.

For me it would have entailed driving to Burlington, train to Union Station, subway to York, bus to field. I just stayed home and watched that one on TV the Welsh broadcast was simulcast here in Canada.

I'm not sure when Wales are due over next, Ireland are next year and the Scots after that. 2015 is the RWC so it might not be a tour year, so maybe 2016 or 17.

BMO really is a world class stadium, not particularly huge in seating capacity but is a great mid-size facility.

The Western Fails rugby writers can all do one. A pile of shite they turn out every day.

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot recently guys and my posts have been a little more brief I'm busy with work and the heat wave in North America is absolutely brutal, I'm exhausted every day from it and everything on my farm is in dire straits due to a lack of rain.

We could trade...over here farms have been cost hundreds and hundreds of millions due to the massive amounts of rain

If you can't eat it, can't sleep under it, can't wear it or make something from it, it's not worth anything.

I'm irrigating but it only does so much, my biggest pond is being drained big time as well. Only a possiblity of some thuderstorms ahead as well which don't do much as it either evapourates or runs off too quick. As well it dosen't bring in the nitrogen, it's a really **** year for it to happen for me as well as my main buyer has threatened to cut me off of certain varities due to my lack of tonnage even before this year. Looks like I'll have to find a new buyer next year.

You are near Niagara? Any relief coming from the lake?

There is for people who live right next to it they get a 1-3 C difference some times, which is good this time of year but bad in the winter. I am just on the escarpment so I don't get that although I do get stronger breezes sometimes, even in town(Beamsville) it's hotter than right by the lake.

@ LN7, I've heard the major producer I sell to wants to cut out a lot of their smaller growers, maybe less hassle, less overhead, not quite sure, the only reason I'm still with them is I actually have a lot of the more inexpensive varities, like Vidal and Baco Noir, which some of their bigger boys don't bother with otherwise I would probably have been done with them a couple of years ago.

Yeah, Southern Ontario can be pretty brutal in the summer.
Was in Leamington a few years back (during the summer, of course). I remember three things: heat, flies, and tomatoes.
