I'm not winter..

I'm almsot looking forward to winter it's gotten grossly hot here earlier than normal and I hate waking up at 5 to try and get work in before it gets too hot. Temprature at my place last two days, 35.8 C and 34.8 C and with humidity factored in felt more like 41 C and 38 C respectably.

Lies , everyone knows it's always cold in Canada.

It was a very mild winter here by my standards but a day or two after New Years the daytime high was -10 and -18 with windchill. I have to deal with tempratures that feel 60C apart throughout the year because I work outside. The prairies have more extreme cold tempratures than we do here, but the humidity and heat is more consitent in Central Canada.

That's unreal...I've always wanted to go out hunting in Canada..What's it like for game?

Deer wander through my farm constantly, sometimes get with 30-40 feet of me, although oddly enough the area in which I live only allows for bow-hunting less than two Km's away you can use firearms though. I've never been interested in it myself, and I hear a few hours drive North is much better.

The fishing is pretty good in Ontario lots of rivers and lakes, I haven't done it in years though I never have enough time to go out enough to justify dropping even the token fees on the license.

Edit: The hottest days, I've ever had here have pushed 49-50 C when the humidity is factored in, this is VERY rare though, has only happened twice that I can recall once last summer where I was at the epicentre of the hottest spot in Canada,(another farm 3-4 km's away was 0.2 C warmer on his thermometer and he actually sent the data in to the weather service http://www.niagarathisweek.com/news/news/article/1047230) and the other time in the North American heat wave of 2006 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_North_American_heat_wave. The 40C humidex days are fairly regular though.

Get your butt over here next year, the Irish are visiting us in June(minus the players with the B and I Lions). Although you won't see much in the way of mountains if the game is in Toronto. Still lots around, Niagara, Toronto itself, further North in the Algonquin parks and cottage country area, museums and culture in our Capital, Ottawa. Or just a train ride away the parties and ambiance of Montreal and Quebec City.

I'm in Montreal till May next year. I've been thinking of hanging around for a bit of the summer because 9 month leases are a bit of a pain in the ass to get. How many games are we playing in Canada? may just be worth hanging round and following the tour...
