Yet arsenal still managed to beat the defending European champions home and away 5-1 and are in the semis of the CL without one. :rolleyes:. They had last summer and the January transfer window to sign one, yet failed to do so.

Liverpool played Diaz mostly as a striker this season because Jota is injury prone and Nunez is well shite; Arsenal can have him if they want ;). And they still won the League with 4 games to spare. Even they will be after one in the summer. Isak would be ideal for either but doubt Newcastle will sell and he'd be way too expensive.

Chill out mate all i meant was that they could do with a striker i dont even support arsenal, yes im aware they beat madrid 5-1 and that liverpool easily cruised to the league.

This is why i didnt want Liverpool to win, most annoying fan base 🤙

Just sick of the hate online from other websites. It’s just pure jealousy. Like any other fan base is liked and wouldn't crow after winning a premier league title. That is football it's tribal. No one likes anyone else's fan base.


It’s a typical response of if only Arsenal had a striker and need one. BS. Their squad wasn’t good enough that’s why they’ve finished runners up 3 seasons on the trot. Every other club has had injuries even Liverpool, they had the players to step up and even cope without a striker.

Why?

Is it how bad UTD and Spurs have been this season or do you object to any winner, no matter how good they are, getting CL qualification through winning the Europa?

Yes. Neither are anywhere near top 5 material in PL. You also have to remember winning Europa league this season is a lot easier given that there is no drop down from CL once teams are eliminated.

I don't necessarily disagree and if your preference is to not have an added bonus of qualification for another competition by winning FA/Europa etc then fair enough I just don't see how good whatever team is has to do with that.

The whole CL teams dropping down to the Europa league was BS as it rewards failure so I'm glad they got rid of that. Rewarding success is different but I admit, I'm torn on whether winning Europa should get CL qualification. It never used to be (or at least they've chopped and changed on it over the last decade or 2)
 
Seems a bit daft that the reward for winning the second tier European competition is the same as the reward for winning the top tier competition.
