[EOYT] England vs New Zealand 16/11/13

OK, so the All-Blacks will be unbeaten for the year (no offense Ireland, but let's be realistic). Congratulations New Zealand.

Tiem and time and time again England players are so slow to the breakdown. When will the learn? You NEED support and we are crap at giving it.

That struck a nerve..LOL Since when does a frenchy support England anyway have some self respect man!

The name gives my nationality away so be aware that I am not as you, so crudeley put it, a "frenchy" which is, in fact spelt Frenchie..............the only thing striking a nerve is your ceaseless inability to accept that your beloved team can come across a worthy team who can beat them in certain departments for parts of a game without you, and the very small minority like you in NZ, resorting to tired inane excuses!

Well Jesus if both France and England can push them close I'm not hopeless.

i have to say if Morgan can get more gametime at gloucester he could be a very good number 8

Game was lost at the line out. Absolute horror show the minute Hartley staggered off.

Wow.... Did I just stand up for Dylan "psycho" Hartley?!

I agree. If Ireland can show some dominance up front today and come away with a win I'd have some hope going into the AB game. I think Ireland's back line is better than the one England put out today.

Did better than I expected, to be honest. If our lineout hadn't gone to crap when Hartley went off we could well have gone on and won it.
Hopefully the last we see of Tomkins at 13 - wasn't especially terrible, but his hands were poor and he contributed nothing on attack or particularly defence.

I have to say despite losing i though England played with a lot of pride and scared the All blacks at times, well done England!

If England were that close without that much help from the reff id be worried for the WC... I give the french more chance up there at the next one imo they were far more impressive last week.

right, because France and England are such bad teams ! :p
nah but, I don't see Ireland winning for the first time ever, but anyways. Will be an interesting match.

Ref ref ref ref, damn what is it with SH people and being so pathetic? Your team get away with SO many infringements that you've become used to be allowed to. The second you are pinged for actually being in the wrong, you start crying about the ref. Piece of advice: Stop intentionally infringing in the breakdown.

Exactly this, Youngs turning over the ball and his shocking lineout changed the momentum of the game. Proud of the lads though, after the start it was a great effort.

Meh. A bit closer than I was expecting, but I'm glad we got the win in the end.

I thought Whitelock and Read where the pick of our forwards, though McCaw and Messam got through a bit of work. The scrum remains a worry.

Out backline wasn't overly dangerous - the only player that really posed any threat was Savea (and he made a couple of great runs). England's defense was up incredibly quickly (though not entirely legally at times...) which meant we continued to get hit well behind the advantage line. Nonu made one really good chip kick at the start but he seems obsessed with it these days - I wish he had never learnt the skill. Aaron Smith was ok barring a couple of bad kicking errors (out of the full), and I thought Kerr-Barlow made an excellent impact when he came on for the second week in a row - I love seeing flying up fast and pressuring the opposition 10.

We are the most dominant team in history! We ve beaten them all .A very satisfying victory indeed! Nonu,Piatau,MCcaw,Read,Crockett ,Saveathey were all outstanding .i ll enjoy my Sauvignon blanc !!!

This match is a joke. So much obstruction from England and so many off sides. Yet AB's get penalized. I don\t usually complain but this is shocking.

Something like this perhaps...?

I'm not a wild fan of how deliberate petty offending has come into the game (unless I'm doing it) but its an option open to every team and copied from the best.

I enjoyed that. Good game. Real puzzle as to what I think of this England set-up now.
