So Jenkins is out.

Not to worry, dear Welshists. Gatland has already called up Mrs. Williams-Gill-Wyn-Jones and has draughted her 8 year old son (Rhyes-Kristian-Effion-Alun Williams-Gill-Wyn-Jones) as a replacement. He's reportedly sill a better scrummager then Tim Payne even at his young age.[/b]

Paul James is **** but he's still better than Payne.

I really cannot see where the advantage is at scrum time anymore. Im a big fan of Gareth Williams - very dangerous in the loose and is usually along side Gethin with his work rate. However, he doesn't match the physicality of the English front row.

With Gethin out aswell now, even if Tim Payne has an average game I think the England are more physical at scrumtime. I think the lineout may be more important on the weekend though as I am expecting a typical english game. Its still going to be close, but Ill be very surprised if Wales have a better scrum.

The idea is that even a starved nerd could outscrummage Payne.

I meant all the hyphenated names. Are they trying to be funny?

Is this, perhaps, the 1st ever England vs Wales thread in the history of the internet in which both sets of fans are talking down their teams' chances, no one has resorted to name-calling and mild racism, and we're all trying to have a 'who's shitter'-off between our players?

Johnson and Gatland deserve a pat on the back for bringing 2 nations together.

Or maybe making their teams so sh** both sides cant find anything to boast about so are now resorting to critsing themselves... :p

I think this was my point :p

Paul James has proved many people wrong recently, including me. His work-rate has improved hugely, and he showed against Leicester that he can scrummage too. Dan Cole crumbled in one particular scrum in that game, even with Alun-Wyn behind him (who apparently can't push!). He's still not a patch of Gethin though, and he will be missed, but there is adequate cover, unlike tighthead!

Another injury, this time it's for England. Flutey is not ruled out of Saturday's game. Link

Big big blow for England.

Flood is his replacement, with Hape coming onto the bench.

Roberts should be chomping at the bit, if he can target Flood and Tait's weak shoulders he could make big inroads. Neither are bad tacklers, but neither are as good as Flutey, and Roberts has broken through better tacklers than them in the past.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo
How much 12 has Flood played recently?
I can't recall him playing anything other than FH in years =/

I hope Roberts just runs at Wilkinson all day, because despite his shortcomings in attack, Wilkos got a strong tackle
