Goode as our first choice 15 in the world cup......

Browns been stood down again with concussion related symptoms:

From an England point of view this is becoming a real concern now, from a welfare point of view bravo to Quins for putting by his welfare first and allowing him as long as he needs.
Bit of a no-brainer, they have very little left to get out of this season.

(The best they can hope for at this point is that Gloucester lose in the Challenge Cup final and they make up the 5 points on Sale so that they can play for a Champions Cup place.)

Bit of a concern he's still experiencing problems this long after his concussion. Who would people put as the top England alternative?

For me? Pennell.
Not sure how likely that'd be, but he was called to train with England during the 6 Nations so he's not completely out of Lancaster's mind.
From outside the current set-up: Tait. Though he's still injury prone, and his impending move to France won't endear him to the coaches (even if they were just planning on bringing him in for the RWC - hell, his contract in France might have a clause saying he won't put his name forward for England's RWC campaign).

Goode will definitely be next in line, I think, despite never really performing for England.
I expect we'll see Watson given a game or two at 15 in the RWC warm ups now, as well.

Abendonan could be picked like Cips there Goode is a good ball player think he would be a better fly half or you just play Watson there. In a couple of years Alex Lewington could be going this place as well.

Just going back to Burgess being paid by Bath, therefore they choose where he plays, it's a case of yes and no. If England have told Burgess they want him at 12, and that's where he could get his shot, then he can put a huge amount of pressure on Bath to play him there. Lets hope he goes to 6, and learns to jump in the lineout.

Goode is the obvious replacement and I think he is a good player but he's not the man for England.
I'd like like to see Watson moved there and another winger brought in.
If not Watson then I'd have either like others have said Cipriani and Penell.
Just having cipriani on the pitch somewhere can only be a good thing

Watson and Goode would be good options. Goode was solid against Ireland for most part and had a few good carries + was excellent against Toulon. Tait has impressed me over last few years as well.

Goode and tait are soooooo average its unbelievable.

We need talent in our side not mediocracy.

Cipriani and Watson are all round better players than Goode and tait, they deserve to be there on skills.

Can't comment on pennell as I haven't seen him at all this year

Cipriani at full back worries me, has he got the legs to cover it for 80 mins?

I wasn't really being serious about Cips though.

Against the teams like Fiji, Uruguay and Scotland ( ;) )he would be fine , but against the bigger nations I would be concerned.

You're mad if you think Matt Tait is mediocre...

Mike Brown has just been rules out for the rest of the season with concussion headaches btw.

Look at the team he supports he never says anything nice about Leicester players (Maybe expect Cole)

Goode was poor against Ireland, not average, and Watson still hasn't learnt how to tackle. Were're in a bit of a pickle without Brown.
I hope they give Pennel some time in the warm-up matches- if there was one person to replicate the solidity of Brown at full back, the closest must be Pennel.

Could Nowell be moved there ? Nowell/Watson/May back three ? How has Sharples done at 15 ?

I refute that accusation, I compliment players when they are due. I have watched lots of tigers games this year and didn't think tait did anything badly, but I didn't think he has the X factor of other players that's all.

I do rate loads of tigers players btw like Cole and ummmm Gibson and ummmm the youngs brothers....maybe you have a point
