England future management?

The more it drags out the more negative we all feel.

Right now I think we all need something to inject some enthusiasm back into the England rugby supporters and players.

If the RFU had acted swiftly we'd all be feeling positive with a new coach in place.

Players would feel that they have a fresh opportunity to impress the new coaching team.

But as it is we continue to feel negative with quite frankly limited hope and optimism.

RFU are costing themselves money as I won't be rushing to buy tickets for the 6N.

I'd prefer that Lancaster resigned but we saw exactly the same thing in Cricket with Peter Moores. Don't see this turning out any different sadly.

You mean Lancaster will get the job again, and fail again, in a few years time????

God I hope not but I can see the RFU doing that as well.

Nah I just mean the bombing out of world cup then being given a second chance despite the fact he should of gone then.

Rob Baxter.
6 years ago the Exeter Chiefs weren't even in the Premiership. Since Baxter took over in 2009 they have become serious competitors for a place in the Top 4, finishing 5th last season. It's not just the team that has thrived under his reign, but the players too. They had 6 players in World Cup squads (Parling, Slade and Nowell for England, Francis for Wales, Taione for Tonga and Botha for Namibia), and have a number on others in contention for England spots.
At the moment England are at their lowest point in history. They've just come out of a home World Cup, without getting out of the pools. What they need now is a coach who can take them from an under-achieving team and turn them into a team that can truly compete with the best. Baxter was able to do this with the Chiefs and could do it with England too.

Jake White current favourite,3-1 with Ladbrokes, was around 25-1 a week ago. Can't find any odds on Lancaster being retained. That would be my bet.

Lol @ including Parling as an Exeter player for the World Cup.

Whilst on the books he hadn't played any games for them.

Baxter is now where near ready for England.

I think the lack of pressure comes from the lack of alternatives to bring in.

If there were a few clear cut options then fine...but none of them really inspire me.

Would you be happy with Jake White?

There's plenty of alternatives . There's 12 coaches in the Premiership that would be a step up from Lancaster and Farrell plus what about 20 of us English posters on here . That's 32 people without even considering actual international coaches .....

My coaching style would be simple. Giving away stupid penalties? That's a paddlin. Taking into contact at a walking pace? That's a paddlin. Butchering a huge overlap? Oh you better believe that's a paddlin.

You have my vote brother !

Hopefully with the panel due to report in a few days time, things will start to speed up around this subject.

Sale are the only scrum in the Premiership with 100% on their own put in.

Lancaster will be removed from the position of head coach and offered a different role somewhere in the RFU, according to the Express/Fissler.
Good news IMO - best outcome.

[h=3]STUART LANCASTER will soon be relieved of his job as England head coach – but rugby bosses are trying to find another role for him.[/h]
The Sunday Express has learned that the RFU are extremely keen to retain his services in another capacity within the organisation before they announce the findings of their review before the end of the month – but he will no longer be in direct charge of the England side.

Is that the guy who seems to report all the breaking stories first? If so, fantastic news.
