Forgive me it should be RWC not WRC silly mistake. That point about Mehrtens being better than Wilkinson, statiscally not true, in reality either or at that time in that era. Neither compare to Carter. If I choose to compare Carter to Cipriani I will, would you object if I compared Giteau to Carter or would that be to much? Perhaps I should simply say Carter greatest no one compares, or perhaps I should actually have an opinion on where someones potential may take them. After all as you probably no there is a very talented youngster at Canterbury who has already been compared to Carter. If he is the greatest at present then he is the yard stick you compare anybody else to. Could we get back to original point of the post which was pick your England side? 1.Australia has won it more times then South Africa? They've both won it twice, so I guess you're wrong again.
2.Not going to bother with the new blunder of spelling and grammar mistakes, I made a topic with attach spelt wrong, so I'll forgive you.
3.Mehrtens is better then Wilkinson as he had a higher kicker conversion rate and set up far more tries. The reason Wilkinson tends to be so high on the ratings is due to the fact England take point when they can get it and 99 points Wilkinson has scored have come from drop goals, about 5% of them were the best option to take. If you compare Wilkinson's 239 penalty kicks as apposed to Mehrten's 186, it stands to reason why Wilkinson has scored more points however Mehrtens could set up tries which shows why despite playing in 12 less tests has scored more conversions. So yes, Mehrtens was better and I proved it with statistics.
4.Who is the talented player at Canterbury compared to Carter? The only promising new 1st 5's are Cruden and Robinson, neither of whom play for Canterbury.
5.Don't compare Cipriani to Giteau.

1. Got it wrong and forgot that we beat Australia in 2003 so we will put South Africa on top

3. We are not so anally retentive as the yanks to keep assists for individual players, so we cant say for sure which one setup more tries personally. In addition Mehrtens blew it big style in 1995 Wilkinson didnt in 2003 the cream always rise to the top, watch Invictus if you have blanked it from memory down there. Nice of Hollywood to set it in cinematic history.
4. Cant remember the guys name, watched him play in some ANZC games or the your league while Carter was in France. Commentators comparison and that he was a highly rated young player who was developing nicely. Between then and now girls, drink, drugs anything could have got him.
5. I will compare Cipriani, Myler or Geraghty to Carter, Giteau or Pienaar if I so choose. By the way is there a national holiday in NZ on the 5th of this month for Dan Carters Birthday?

Only 8 spelling mistakes in that last post, oh how we are improving. Now to answer your points.

1.Yes you did get it wrong, I'm glad we can agree on that and your man enough to admit it.
2.You're right I'm not your English teacher...that is evident in your posts.
3.One drop kick does not a career make. Mehrtens didn't land that drop kick however his career has proved him to be the better player. I don't have the number of tries he individually set up, however I can say the number of tries Wilkinson has set up is fairly minimal in comparison.
4.If you don't know what you're talking about don't make that point. It means I don't have to embarrass you.
5.Don't compare Myler or Geraghty to Carter or Giteau. Pienaar is open game.
6.You made a grammatical mistake in your point on grammatical mistakes. There should be a full stop or at least a comma in between "mistakes" and "it's".
7.I see you weren't arsed to spell apartheid correctly this time around. Further more I don't see the reasoning in bringing it up when taking a measurement in the quality of a team.
8.Certainly, fire away. On a slightly side note, after the last mistake of presuming Mite was a New Zealander, it was quite daring of you to presume I am one.
