Marler's left camp - they're saying it's not because of the threats he got from his haka tweet, but timing wise....

No one else has been called up, but they don't expect him to return - seems a bit odd. Should call up Obano, or if they're looking younger then one of Iyogun/Haffar

Oh he's left camp as well has he. Interesting. Bit of a liability isn't he old Joe.

Tbh with him it could be anything from him telling Borthwick he's managing his staff wrong, he's got a family commitment, or he's just not enjoying it so has gone home.

timing wise - Guardian are saying he left before making the tweet.
IMO - we know he struggles with his mental health, though not the details - it's possible he's in a negative/destructive spiral right now

…..he seems to have left at the start of the week before the team announcement and that post.

EDIT: Also deactivated his X.

Hope he's OK.

Yeah, okay, I'd call it mental health issue until proven otherwise - hope he gets what help he needs, and gets some understanding from the ravaging hordes.
Which makes it best not to speculate, insult etc.

Not there aren't hundreds of really good reasons to quit twitter, but timing implies...

Given he's just left Munster, just wondering if there's any space for Wig in the England set up. Perfect CV for it.

We've got a fairly inexperienced scrum coach and if we've got a general forwards coach their name escapes me. What's Strawbridge, general contact guru?

If Dan has a broken hand can we call up Langdon?

Imagine the 15 will be the same next week, Borthwick usually has that pretty set in stone for a series and for the most part they all went well tbf

Bench needs a mixup though
Dan, Dombrandt, Randall, Ford out and LCD, JvP, Smith and Sleightholme/Steward in

I know the Steward option will be controversial but he's probably the form 15 in the Prem so far, though I concede he's kind of a start or not in the 23 kind of player - alternate option of Ted Hill, if we're staying 6:2

Langdon should be in the 23 and considering both George and LCD are 30+ I don't want to waste opportunities on both of them.

Other changes would be a good start.
