England 2024/25

I'm guessing people are going to call for steward after his great form of running a straight line into someone whilst missing tackles and being slower in the turn than the ***anic.

Hendy > Daly > de Gaineville > a retired Jason Robinson > Steward

Match day limits don't seem to be slowing down the Japanese sides, if anything they're signing more foreign players each season - they just rotate their teams more
Faf de Klerk barely plays out in Japan, but they still pay him £1m - the companies that own the sides have so much money that the highest paid players in the world are just pocket change
I would disagree, not long a go their were a substantially larger numbers of curent internationals playing in japan or having subaticals over there, now it is more end of career guys + older springboks. Plus they have a rule that 80% of their squad has to be japanese.

Japan is a funny one as well, they have a type and it isnt british players, they generally hire kiwi and aussie coaches who then hire very established brand name all blacks, SA or aussies. Mostly because their purpose is marketing, a up and coming prem player isnt getting fans in the stadium. Or its young pacific islanders with the look to naturalising them since they can offer money and an improved quality of life, example of multiple young tongan players who have been perssured to reject international call ups for this very reason.

France have to be careful because if it goes to court those rules are probably against EU law. Some of the French clubs are wealthy enough to consider that. In fact it's perfectly possibly the current rules for the Premiership could be found illegal if challenged as they could be seen as discrimination against Scottish and Welsh people.
Ireland have been doing it for years, even just recently even banning any NIQ front row for the foreseeable future.

They lucky there is not the money for court cases because in football everything has to be EU wide because of previous court cases (And even recent court cases about sporting issues have taken a non populist line.)

Looks like Furbank has a broken forearm, so we will need a new FB for the 6 nations. Who's on the list after Furbank?

Carpenter? Or move Freemans to FB and play Sleightholme or Roebuck on the other wing.

I'd take all of Steward, Malins or even DeGlanville or Marcus ahead of moving Freeman there.
Carpenter's an interesting option.

Personally I don't understand why so many people want to take Freeman, an excellent winger, and play him anywhere but on the wing.

It'll probably be Steward starting, Smith covering from the pitch and Daly recalled to the EPS, if we're being realistic

"His decision leaves an opening for Farrell to potentially appoint someone good"
Borthwick, purely as a forward coach, I believe to be pretty well regarded? As for overseeing the whole of the squad, management and processes? ...
