I don't think he'll be cited after Earls' was rescinded, they'll say it was a yellow

It probably was a yellow, but with anything mitigated down from a red, I think it would be helpful for them to lay out why - just would help with clarity imo

I would say 2nd and 3rd Tight head are open as Stuart is out long term.
So that probably leaves Heyes whos been in all the squads.
Then who knows...? Trevor Davison, Paul Hill or Williams at Exeter etc?

Really would like Chessum and Isiekwe to concentrate on lock, only covering 6 in an emergency. Ditto Coles. Lawes only made it work after a lot of time and because he is an exceptional player - and even then I still have reservations.

With the, admittedly unproven, potential of Willis, Hill and Martin we have absolutely no need to develop hybrids over specialists - those are all different types of genuine 6 options. As is Curry - assuming fitness the idea of Curry and Curry is growing on me.

I've seen Dan Cole mentioned alot, not sure who'd fill in third with Stuart out
I can see either Lawes or Chessum at 6, I like Martin but he's probably not rounded enough
I'd love to see Ben Earl in but not sure where he fits
I know Farrell will be fine (good old disciplinary before internationals skulduggery incoming), was thinking more along the lines of who's filling in the squad as Smith and Ford both have injury concerns

Agreed.

Although it's not a good look when one of our props is clearly second choice at club level behind a veteran who hasn't played internationally for years. Which isn't to knock Heyes potential, you'd just expect national squad members to be first choice at their clubs.

While I thought Cole's international days were done he's playing well (maybe partly as he hasn't had the pressures of international squads etc), the RWC is only a few months off and he's worth a place at the moment. Would have been interesting to see which Tiger would have got the nod if Stuart had been fit.

It would a big mistake if we insist on playing a lock at 6. All of our most consistent results over the past 5 years is when we have played two flankers. It's not as if we don't have any choice is it? .if we want a bigger man than Underhill, Earl or Curry at 6 . Then look at Hill or Even Jack Willis (whose carrying is seriously underated). Both Flankers and not converted 6s
