I kinda thought you were saying things had been set up in a certain way that would increase the chances of India winning, not just icc are India fans.
Plus its a marketing thing I wouldn't read too much into it. Kholi is an icon of the sport and has near mythic status in India. None of the other captain's have that level of star power even in thier own countries.

Yeah he's just a massively monetisable asset given his status in India, India's love of cricket and India's population, that's all. Clearly the ICC is dominated by Eng, Ind, Aus so will be subject to bias and self-interest by those three, but suggesting ICC are actively trying to give India the WC is a bit tinfoil hat.

Outstanding catch, always think inner field catches like that are the hardest the speed the ball is moving at and reaction times required to go that far left or right. They aren't really expected to catch anything unless it goes directly to them.

i know it's terrible tactics but it was fun to watch pakistan take their hacks during their innings. it's a shame the weather has played such a role in the tournament.

Black caps need to change their team. Get rid of Munro and neesham (though he did bowl a good last over just this morning), replace with Nichols and Sochi. Yes that would get rid of two big hitters, and effectively one batsman, but our bowling is underpowered and Munro is not performing with the bat. Williamson can play the role of quick run scorer, heck he was the top batsman in that recent ipl season, and while that may sound like a bad idea to compromise one of your key rocks, with Nichols Taylor and Latham we would have 3 other players playing that role.
