A classic I've never heard of.

Uuuuh, got about two minutes in and thought "Nooo - four more minutes!" So I guess I hate it.

Is he singing about someone's cock? "Now she's in me, Always with me, Tiny dancer ... etc etc ... In my hand, woohooohoohooo ..."

I actually like his early 70s sound, so 5/10.

Can't access this band on youtube (times are changing), but I got this link - hope it works:

Very original band that doesn't fit any type + the singer is mad and weird. Loving the brass.

Epic - 9/10.

But you didn't listen to the best part! (The beginning is pretty dull). Basically just skip to 2:30 and listen for about a minute - all the rest is just building up to that. You might recognize that part - it gets covered or featured in things quite regularly.

Here's another, even though it isn't even close to Pete's best work, it ain't half bad:

9/10. Love toots.

Hávamál - Burzum

The music was composed by Varg Vikernes (aka Burzum) and is a tune called Han Som Reiste. The words are by an Icelandic guy, and are various stanzas from an Old Norse poem called Hávamál. I think it's kind of haunting.

Mmmmm - veeery strange. Bit of Lauri Anderson in there, I guess. Youtube comments say it's the voice of Odin, which makes me tremble in fear and awe. Strange is good, but not for seven minutes: 7/10.

Reminded me of this - the Waterboys got an old Connemara poet to do a bit of Yeats to go with their fey, twangly soundtrack - actually it's about the same length:

Excellent, 8/10. Sorted me right out there as I was in a bit of a mood and now I've chilled right out.

Time for a bit of Northern Soul methinks! How about this Major Lance number?

I was just listening to some Northern Soul! You didn't post any link, but I'll give it 10/10 anyway, because I love the Soul. Let's keep the theme going:

LOL. 6/10, goes up for the amount I laughed.

Ijahman Levi - Call On You[/b]

Would have been much better if they could sing properly: 6/10.

I didn't recognize it at first, but it is Perfection. 10/10.

Something that's kind of similar but written thirty years ago - one note from Dawn Upshaw's voice ... shivers down the spine:

The second movement is even more amazing, but twenty minutes long.

Great headphone music. 8/10.
