Aviva Premiership 16/17 - Round 17

Bristol have some excellent players but a lot of meh players and a meh coaching setup.

Next season will be different but there has to be a question over the promotion and relegation system and its inability to allow teams to develop.

Realistically in the champ only Irish is up to any standard (Yorkshire maybe but even then not sold).

Honestly I love the system in terms of Competition but I do think having a closed shop of 14 teams and investing more money into the champ for the next 5 years is the way forward.

Invest so that every champ club has an academy team or a prem partnership and maybe have it so that a prem club has to pay compensation for signing a champ club product.

Either way the RFU needs to get its money out an invest a lot in the champ and maybe Nat 1.

I'm sure everyone has seen by now but if not, Gloucester's capitulation on Saturday has brought about the departure of Laurie Fisher.

Looks like he resigned as his tweet indicated he would.

Opinion seems to be split on whether he has done the right thing.

Personally I'm glad he's gone.
I don't necessarily blame him for what happened on Saturday but after 3 years, we still have no discern-able structure in attack beyond the first phase (the tries we score tend to be down to individual moments of inspiration) and the endless up and under tactics are just awful.

Will be interesting to see who come in - Wonder what that Cockerill fella is up to next season.

Billy Twelvetrees was to blame for both late tries. So glad he's no longer playing for England. For the first he missed a crucial tackle...for the second he was chasing the Quins player who still had to beat the full-back. Twelvetrees decided to give the quins player a shove in the back which gave him a little extra momentum and put off the gloucester full back, leading to a missed tackle. What on earth was he thinking!??

Well he certainly got walked over for the first one.
Saw him chasing back for the last but didn't notice a shove.

We also butchered an easy overlap and spurned an easy three points while chasing the BP (don't blame them since we were 12 points up at that point).

Capitulation in the last ten mins of a game has become a bit of a habit and at times, the decision making has been baffling.

Twelvetrees had so much potential I remember thinking he was going to be Tigers/England starting 12 for a long time when he first hit the scene. (If only he was willing to wait a season really).

Him and Manu were supposed to be the centre partnership we'd all been waiting for :(

Tigers could of had

I'm gonna call you out on this, because you're a serial offender, and I'm a charitable guy... it's: could have had, or could've had.

You can thank me when your boss gives you a raise.

I'm forever biting my tongue - metaphorically.

It's every single time, I don't recall a single lspse into correct grammar in the 18 months I've been here. Surey it's deliberate!

You know what Dyslexia is not easy to deal with esp on forums etc where I tend to type very casually.....

I mean I thought this was a safe space but clearly I'm wrong.........

Fuk you all azzholes

typing as a dyslexic - getting the wrong word isn't really dyslexia, it's laziness.
Dyslexia would be getting the right word, but the arong letters; and typically a degree of randomness in which wrong letters; persistently getting the wrong word, in a way that is extremely common, isn't dyslexia.

And since when was any rugby forum a safe space?

I fully accept the label of arsehole though.

Mate, I don't even have arms... I type using a complex mechanical system of pulleys controlled by my throbbing member... do you know how hard it is to maintain an erection whilst typing out a post England game review?

Ermm no that does fall into dyslexia, dyslexia isn't just spelling it affects a lot more than that inculding use of grammar etc.
Is it laziness aswell, yeh I don't proofread my posts becuase this is a forum and I CBA whereas when it comes to a formal piece of writing I tend to have to proofread 2/3 times.

Also I said Azzholes not arsehole.

My point about this being a safe space I wasn't being serious.
