Aviva Premiership 15/16 - Playoffs

I don't understand the rules of the salary cap . Is it that Saracens are allowed £12 million and everyone else £6 million ?

That was a great try, Williams is class

It's not exactly a Bath-style big name star studded side. Most of the big names made their names at Sarries, same with Tigers really.

Yeh well I needed something to blame it on because they have the least likeable back line I've ever seen lol

You guys are making it worse tbh ;)

But does it matter whether you make your name there or not? When contracts need re-negotiating, people are gonna want more if they are doing well.

Saracens squad looks perfectly under the cap now TBH.

It was the previous seasons there was an issue.
Yep. They were punished with having a bigger cap to fit all their players under.

Innit. The cap is the reason they ended up with Strettle as Quins couldn't keep everyone.

That said, a lot of them have only recently shot to prominence. Quite where Sarries stand after the next time they renew the contracts of George, Kruis, Itoje and the Vunipolas should be interesting. I suspect market value for those five alone will be about the million mark; I wouldn't be surprised to find they were collectively on about half that.

Course, in the USA salary capped leagues, we'd know exactly what they were on, and we could without all this doubt. Somehow doubt PRL would go for that...

edit: Although I note the Vunipolas and George renewed this year. All three should have got fairly significant bumps, Duncan Taylor too.

Will certainly have gone up but so has the cap.

The only relevance Chudley has to England is if he concusses an England player, but I'm guessing Launch is fine.

Have not seen anything from Hughes making him look international status here? Give turnovers away easily!

Exeter seem to be in control but Wasps must rue their mistakes.....

Do his other knee by the looks of it

When they showed him on the bench, he had an ice pack strapped to the outside of his right thigh, so looks like a dead-leg type injury rather than a knee.

Happy for Exeter. A good team, that played very well on the day and they deserve their day net week. Can't help feel that it may be one step too far though based on the last 2 Sarries performances. Happy for the fans who are a good bunch (apart from me reading somewhere the claim from one of them they they invented the Tomahawk Chop....let that sink in).

Just think, had we not been so bad a few years ago, this may never have happened. Youre welcome Exeter

(that last bit, a joke.)

Delighted for Exeter, but a bit annoyed as I'd have liked to see Slade and Ewers turn out for England next week :p
