Bad news for the Pumas:

Manuel Montero is broke the cruciate ligaments and is ruled out for TRC and WC

:(

Juan Figallo injured, apparently torn ACL, but not definitive.

Edit: Two injuries in practices, dammit, how the heck do they practice? Ridiculous.

Wow not exactly small names either.

Have booked tickets to watch the Ayerza testimonial, Leicester Tigers v Argentina can't wait.

Surprised Camacho is in the squad hopefully he will be fit.

I've read Camacho is in. He was the long waited comeback along with Figallo.

Which means: he's getting an injury while walking from the hotel to the pitch.

Figallo is out for world cup. Probably out of Pumas forever.

Agustín Pichot said that is logical to give preference to players who play super rugby with the franchise, which means Bosch, Hernández and all of those who stay in Europe are virtually out of the team.

I don't really agree, to begin with, because that means argentina has basically the national team on super rugby. Ain't that a little disadvantage for the rest? I know, experience and so, but what if the AB' just made a team with Carter Nonu McCaw and so? I think they will be probably a bit more forgiving the first years.

About Figallo: we were able to substitute him pretty dicently, so ok. But he's so good... dammit.

The Pumas squad for the NZ trip:

* Horacio Agulla
* Matías Alemanno
* Marcos Ayerza
* Marcelo Bosch
* Manuel Carizza
* Santiago Cordero
* Agustín Creevy
* Tomás Cubelli
* Jerónimo De la Fuente
* Matías Díaz
* Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe
* Lucas González Amorosino
* Santiago González Iglesias
* Ramiro Herrera
* Juan Imhoff
* Facundo Isa
* Martín Landajo
* Juan Manuel Leguizamón

I haven't seen Díaz play consistently, only a couple of times. How is he? He seems to be a monster at scrum.

Somebody said to me Rodrigo Roncero quality player.

Any idea what the likely 23 is?

I'm not sure, maybe:

2- Agustin Creevy (c)

18- Ramiro Herrera
19 -Matías Alemanno

23- Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino

Ramiro Herrera needs surgery and it's doubt for WC.

Orlandi IN.

Great: Herrera Figallo out, we are going to play with our substitute for the substitute against the boks.

Without knowing much about the Argentina players individually, how confident would you guys be with scrummaging now that Ramiro Herrera is out?

Orlandi... pff. I don't know, he`s not bad, but not nearly as good as the other ones. I mean, scrum will be good enough, bad now we need more.

That's the list. We had it a few days ago and I expected somebody to put it. Anyway.

Camacho out: Mistake. Insulting.
In the other hand: 50 min in two years.... to be replaced by Cordero. The problem is: Cordero is demonstrating that he's great even in international level.

Macome: Our third row is actually pretty amazing these days, I get it.

Carizza: there's no need to talk about it.

Orlandi: I thought he played rather well.

Lezana: I get that. Agreed.

Still, there are questions to be asked: why didn't Urdapilleta appeared on the list to, at least, play some international level rugby? A top 14 player elected to be the ideal fly half of the competition isn't good enough over Juan Martín Hernández when Sánchez plays horrible?

A good squad despite Figallo and others missing out. All test sides will be without a number of their best sadly, that's just the reality of modern rugby.

Best of luck and top your pool!

Thanks!

Matías Díaz out of WC due to heart condition.

6/7 injuried players and counting.
