I have a memory of attending a game at Cardiff Arms Park in 1976 where the score was something like 40-3 to the AB's. I cannot find any record of this - did I dream it?

I don't think you'd have seen a score like that in the 70's! Scoring 40 back then would be like scoring 70+ now.

In '76 Wales played just 2 games at CAP, winning both. Sco were badly beaten 28 to 6 and France suffered a 19 to 13 loss, in another Grand Slam for Wales. In fact Wales' record at CAP in the 70's was exemplary, played 25, losing just 2, both NZ, and drawing 2, SA and France.
