You know in my entire time of being on the road whether by cycling, motorcycling or car what the most dangerous thing is? Some prick in a car thinking they know better and passing people when they think it's safe. Or signalling on the motorway/dual carriageway and immediately thinking they move into a lane despite another vehicle being there. Or on having ******* phone conversation with one hand whilst not having full control of the car.

As someone who is a driver and a cyclist, I've seen the worst of both sides. The closest I've ever got to a serious injury on the road was on my bike. I think I'm pretty considerate and will always pull over if vehicles are stuck behind me. I had pulled over and ridden about 400m before a lorry caught up with me approaching a blind corner. I knew a place to pull over just a bit up the road so carried on, the lorry driver went on to the other side of the road on the blind corner right into the path of an oncoming bus. He swerved to avoid the bus and I got clattered by the trailer. I fortunately fell into the hedge because if I had fallen differently I would have gone under the rear wheels. The stupid **** then just carried on his merry way.

Then again in the car I've been stuck behind a seriously slow cyclist who ignored numerous places to pull over and was cycling right down the middle of the lane. It is narrow country road so that made it impossible to safely pass even on the straights.

As for the road tax, firstly the roads are not paid for by road taxes, they are paid for by all taxes. Secondly road taxes are to cover the maintenance cost caused by cars and lorries damaging the roads over time. Bikes don't damage the roads nor do they have emissions. Lastly insurance is to cover damage you will cause to someone else's car, not your own. A bike cannot do that much damage to a car and realistically can be used without ever going on roads, so it makes the insurance argument pointless.

Fine, was just asking as it's a question which has cropped up numerous times.

There was a debate on one website (may have been Quora) about whether they were left or right wing. Got a bit spicy!

Yeah the Alt right in the states are trying to terrify everyone with the word Socialist but its way off the mark. Its a bit like their argument about gun control were they state that Hitler rose to power because he "took the guns!"

There are people in the States rightly questioning the lack of gun control and also why can they not have a health care system like many European's have and the standard argument is that gun control and universal health care are socialist and Hitler/Stalin/Mao were socialists and thats what will happen to the good old US of A if the Libtards try that crazy **** here!

Horses are far worse than cyclists on the road.
Take up more room, the riders are arseholes, you've gotta crawl past them in case they go mental, and they leave huge HUGE piles of **** everywhere which the owners don't have to deal with.

Agree with that. At my previous house you had to cross a busy main road to get to the village and one day with a double buggy I went onto the only crossing and a horse had **** all over it. Had horse turd all over the wheels. If it was a dog the owner would have been fined £100 but horsey people get away with it. Bloody vandals.

Yup major throughway through our estate is also a designated bridleway (cycle lane as well) every so often its covered in horseshit. Not only do many cyclist use it on their commute at a safe speed (never seen anyone be stupid) but many people also walk their kids to school through it.

I seem to remember something like more Americans die trying to jump into their trousers than being killed by Islamic terrorists.

Amateurs,
Wallace and Gromit have been bossing that for years, no incidents

Horses have been around a lot longer than pushbikes, so give them the respect they deserve. Every day I see horses ridden near were I live and never have I seen one breaking the law, every day without fail I see lunatics in lycra jumping traffic lights and riding 2 abreast, they seem a law unto themselves and are an absolute menace, plus they look like idiots wearing replica tour lycra, you don't see grown men dress up in full kit for a kick about in the park so why do these morons dress up when they get on their cycles ?
You talk about horse **** as though it were dog ****, nobody ever got blind from contact with horse ****, it doesn't smell bad and you can put it on your roses, the thought of riders having to clean it up is ridiculous and in fact a pile of horse **** is far less offensive on the eye than some out of shape idiot dressed in lycra

Iran appearing in the news more and more. Looks like mainstream media have been told to feed us more BS as the US looks to force another regime change.

Seriously?!!! My nuclear weapon is bigger than yours? You cannot make this **** up. Threatening Nuclear war over Twitter.

The lady doth protest too much methinks. I am constantly baffled at how the **** this narcissistic buffoon got the presidency... He probably has a tiny button but his tiny hands make it seem big.

When you look at the USA, you have two opposing factions:

The extreme left of Antifa and co. and the now well-publicised alt-Right. Neither of them belong in a supposedly western and Democratic country, and both are only hurting the country. Why people can't meet in the middle I will never know.

Until the USA can heal its divisions, and do some hard-talking and soul-searching, then I can sadly see him getting four more years. What alternative is there at the moment, who is pounding the drum the loudest for the Democrats/others? Hillary was not popular with a good chunk of the millennials/progressives - Bernie was their man, but he got cast aside and they were told 'tough ***ty she's your candidate'.

I can't see Bernie running for POTUS again but Hillary will want a second shot - can she put the USA before her own ambition of unseating DT, and also what about these scandals surrounding her?

At least it's not as whacky in the UK...yet!

It would be a third shot for Hilary if you count the time she ran against Obama before he win the nomination. She'll have had years of Trump bashing/Russian interference in the mainstream media to benefit from.
Trump is proving that the American President actually has very little power when all is said and done. He's just an embarassing showman.

I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party

Jeb "Please Clap" Bush and Ted "Liking incest porn on twitter on 9/11" Cruz
